allright now all of a sudden when i drive real hard and stop it smells kinda wierd till i take off again. so i looked to where my oil pressure gauge hooks into the engine and around the little tube that hooks in its leaking oil slowly and getting on the engine. id say thats the smell right. also i tried fixing it like you tighten the hose to the engine and it crimps but it still leaks, why? for anyone with a oil pressure gauge

 

what kind of oil pressure gauge do you have? Electrical or Mechanical?

i'm assuming that its a mechanical b/c of the hose your talking about...

what kind of hose and fitting are you using....i would suggest, if possible, put a new end on the tubing and see if it was just a bad seal withing the fitting...
