Has anyone driven the stock Yokohama's in snow? If so, how did they perform?

Please I just need advice quickly (Please I don't need people from Cali or Florida saying I wouldn't know I don't have to drive in winter)

Just need to know quick so I can make a decision. Thanks.

I drove on the stock bridgestones in the snow last year and they did poorly. I was driving slow and still spinning out, and they have almost 90% treadlife left, although the snow was starting to freeze. I have since bought studded tires that work so much better. I'm guessing the yoko's are similar to the bridgestones so hope this helps.

idk bout snow and winter, but they hydroplane like crazy!..and i wasnt speeding..5mph under and moderate rain..

I am planning on driving up to Montreal this weekend... do you guys think the stockies should be okay? Weather.com says "wintry mix to snow" in the forecast. I was considering getting snow cables for the tires.

snow chains/cables, would be a good idea. But you can't go over 25mph or 40mph with those I think. Because they can fly off and do a lot of damage to the suspension. just be careful.

Also i don't think the stocks are that great for anything but to roll off the dealerships lot and drive to the tire shop! lol

I didn't think that the s32a's did well last winter, they slid a lot...thats why i bought blizzak ws50 winter tires for the stock rims...

i drove to colorado last november on my stock yokohamas and they did ok. there wasn't much snow on the ground, but it was snowing lightly when we were driving. no sliding at all but we didn't drive fast either. just drive smart and you'll be ok. oh and we didn't put chains on although we had them in case we needed them

You will be spinning and get poor traction, i guarentee it. Our stock tires aren't very good.

I had no problem with my yoko's during the winter, infact I bought the car in the dead of winter during a snow storm.

I guess I set myself up for that to happen. I appreciate the humor though guys.

I've driven on them in snow and thought they were fine. They aren't as good as a snow tire but they get you through the white stuff okay.
