Default anyone had any luck with aftermarket projection headlights?

I'm really interested in getting projection headlights, but I'm worried about the cheap ones out there. Does anyone have any idea if there is a good projection head lamp for the tC aftermarket that has a reliable cut off.

Thanks
Rob

Nice retro. I like those better than the 08 projectors.

He's been doing these retro's for a while now. The guy is pretty well known mostly for GM products. But once you add options to your package the price goes up pretty quickly.

do you work for this company you have been posting about? I have seen you on a few threads all linking to the headlights?

oh haha i didn't know he was in here!
If you want to do it yourself, the shrouds he used are:
Chrome setup:
big shroud: oven flange or range cover found at homedepot for 5 bucks
Small ring or shroud: ace 2" flange for 99 cent.
Then, you buy those same bixenon projectors for 40 bucks on ebay and then buy a 140 buck D2S hid setup. If you're looking on how to build you own bixenon relay, send me a PM and I'll gladly explain it to you step by step. Also, the bixenon relay should cost no more than 20 bucks

so $201.98 in parts to make the retro's with hids. so about $450 in labor to do the job through that site.

Correct but ifyou won't know what you're doing, then $450 is worth it.
That's the thing. It is better to source out the parts yourself then send them out to get them retrofitted rather than buy directly from them because you know they WILL overcharge you sometimes. Sometimes, they're honest though so it depends on w ho the retrofitter is. If the guy has lots of positive feedback then you know his work is top-notch.

I think I will just buy 08's.

does anyone know if the 05-07 headlights lenses will fit on the 08's? the reason I ask is I don't care for the bulge/hump they have on the 08's

08's output with halogens blow and with a pnp kit, width is miserable
BtW, with the moeny you'll spend on buying the 08 headlights, you would
ve most likely spent the same on the parts for a true OEM HID setup. Then, with the money for buying a pnp, you can always use that for something else if you wanna do things yourself. however, If you want someone else to do it for you, that money will be used for the labor fee. THAT alone will be 100x better than the 08 headlights(that look like ebay to be honest. I apologize if that offended anyone) with a pnp kit.

so are most people agreeing that there are no decent aftermarket projectors out there that have a great cut off? I'm interest in projectors, like the 08 ones, and want to put HIDs in them. From what everyone is saying, will this be a bad cutoff?
