Might need to sell my 08... how much am i looking to loose?
hey guys due to unforeseen bills i might have to end up selling my brand new 08 tC and get something cheaper
the car only has only 1150 miles and is loaded with all the trd stuff.. the car came out to 20k with all the accessories before taxes and installations so how much am i looking to loose if i where to trade it in or sell it private? i cant get figures on my own obviously becuase its a brand new car and kbb or edmunds doesn't do used quotes for them. so i was wondering if anyone has even been in this situation before? btw i fully own the car so i don't have to deal with banks or anything.
the accessories i have are as follows
TRD struts/shocks
TRD lowering springs
TRD CAI
TRD axle back exhaust
OEM lip kit
i also have a vrd grill
the car is in perfect shape
if you guys could help me out that be great

check to see what the dealer will give you? I dont think they will add on the TRD accessories it came with. I would purchase all the stock parts in here like....
stock shocks and springs
stock intake
stock exhaust
you could make some extra cash on the side. Im guessing you owe about $19k+ on it? I doubt the dealer will give you anything for it but normally they dont. Now since it came like that from the dealer you never know? I would personally sell all that stuff and you can easily make about another $1k for those parts.

i don't owe anything on it. i own the car outright but cant afford to keep it due to an unforeseen medical bill. stupid insurence company told me i was covered.. then denied me after i had treatment... if i knew this was gonna happen i would have never bought the car... im gonna be fighting this bill but i wanna know what my options are with the car.
if anyone has any ideas or input on what i should do with the car that be appreciated

i have all the stock parts,i made sure to get them from the dealership when i picked up the car. thank you for your interest though.
i would rather not part out the car.. i don't have the time or money to have the stock stuff put back on

take off all the parts that you can without having to pay somebody to take off if you can't do it on your own.
your car loses 2 grand as soon as it rolls off the dealership lot, so yeah your taking a hit.
if it were me, i would take out a loan to pay the medical bill, or try to negotiate with the hospital to pay some of it, and maybe have them write the rest of it off.
and if you can, try and remember who with your insurance provider told you that you were covered when in fact you weren't. always check your policy.

yeah, but used and used, so he can't expect to sell it and break even when somebody could buy a brand new one for the same price. and financing doesn't affect the value of the car at all, it just affects how much he owes on it.
the only parts i can really take off are the cai and the exhaust... the suspension would have to stay on because i don't have the tools to take that stuff off.. im thinking if i leave everything on i could sell it for 18.5? do you think thats to high..id be loosing over 3 grand with taxes at that point
but yes im doing my best not to sell the car and fight this bill
thanks everyone for your input so far

I'll echo the others in that your best bet is to part it out and trade it stock. It's a shame you're all the way up there; I have a stock exhaust in my garage that you can have for free. If you don't mind covering the shipping from TX, I'll send it to you.
Your gonna take a hit. The instant you take the car off the lot it depreciates. I think the best bet would be to take it to the dealer you bought it from, and see what they can offer you, instead of asking us about it. Not trying to be mean, but they know what its gonna be worth, not us
This is what i did, I got Into a Motorcycle Accident..I had No Insurance at all...i went in to ambulance and hospital everything, week later i got a 21,000 medical bill :o they didnt wanna help me for poop this is before i had my car and i was in the market for one so i thought my dreams where shot of me getting my car..I gave it a Try and went down to Medicade filled out all the paper and guess what they covered my whole bill i didnt pay 1 Cent of 21,000 so if i was you i would give it a shop and try that.
