I am going to be with my girlfriend for 3 YEARS on January 1st. I have never actually done anything for her because I stink at being Boyfriend. But now I can't screw this one up... Ive been thinking about what to do for months now.. but yet, I am still SOOOOOO CLueless of what to do or give her... I live in California, Orange County, but traveling is not a problem to me nor the cost... I am in desperate need of help.. All scion brothers and sisters.. PLEASE HELP ME!!!! We are 21 years old if that helps..This means alot to me so please do not throw something lame at me... Much appreciated guys... Thanks...

BTW.. I was thinking about planning something in vegas or something.. But i thought it might be kinda cheesy... So i opened a poll.. Please let me know if i should do the vegas thing..

no way man...do something romantic... it was me and my gfs 2 year on Sunday. We live in NJ. So i took her to Newport, RI for the weekend. We spent it at a hotel on the water. We went to dinner every night and just spent the days together. We got to club, drink, have fun! But it wasnt in the midst of wildness.... But whatever floats your boat...i mean it would definatly be fun... but 3 years? do something special... maybe take her to an expensive resort in Cali and get a set of massages....

I mean its all preference. Vegas to me is more like a crazy vaca you take for no reason to go get wasted and party non-stop. As per cost, its all how you do things. Newport, RI really wasnt super expensive. We would normally only eat 2 meals, we'd be so wasted from the night before we wouldnt get up till about 11ish. So we would have a big lunch at a pub/bar about $70 (3 days do the math) Then dinner with drinks and tip average about $100 per night. Then just getting wasted was expensive in itself lol You gotta figure 2 nights at any swanky upscale hotel/resort in cali on the weekend is like $200-350 per night. Then massages for an hour each could be like $200 right there. I mean ballin out for a weekend isnt cheap lol

but dont forget its not all about the $$$ I mean ive done the budget baller bit to... a midrange $150 a night place (for that much usually pretty nice) and just plan out where YOU want to take her, check out BYOBs all that good stuff. Biggest thing is pay attention to detail. Here in NJ you can buy a dozen roses at a gas station for $10...for this anniv i bought like 3 doz with me just pedals and put them all over the bed...girls love that ____-- its the thought that counts remember that--

Vegas is designed with the single man in mind. Not a good place to go for an anniversary.

Hey man since you're in OC you can think about driving up here to LA (or somewhere closer where they have a port) and catching the ferry to Catalina Island. My roommate took his GF there for their anniversary and said she loved it - nice hotel, did a little exploring, little bit off the beaten path, romantic, the whole bit.

Actually, looking at Google maps, seems like you could catch a ferry from Newport beach or Dana point down in the OC....

My friend. It was mine and my g/fs 3 year anniversary back in September. For dinner, I took her to a restaurant called "Valentino," down in Santa Monica off the 10W exiting Centinela St. They moved locations recently, so it might be hard to find at first. My experience there was incredible! It is a super classy Italian Restaurant. I have never seen a restaurant with such high class and elegance. The customer service blew my mind. Vallet and everything as well. In fact, the OWNER of the restaurant comes out of his way to greet new customers BEFORE you even step into the restaurant, giving you a very warm welcoming. The service was and food was BEYOND my expectations. The food was absolutely more than phenomenal. You will be spending anywhere from $110-$150 fora dinner of two that includes appetizers, meals, and a shared dessert along with tip and vallet tip; it might sound pricey, but let's put this into perspective. $150 is less than an exhaust or intake for a car . Plus it's your 3 year anniversary, this will make her feel special.

P.S. - Make sure you wear a suit and tell her to dress up. If you don't, both of you will feel out of place. I also believe girl's love it when their significant other takes them out to a fancy restaurant, which where you HAVE to dress up; it makes it more fun. Just tell her, "make sure you bring a reaall nice dress tonight. Don't ask why"

Good luck, and tell me if you plan on going there!

P.S.S (or is it P.P.S) - Your freshly cleaned tC will feel like a geo metro...Mine sure did!

If you really want to impress her, take a trip to Santa Barbara. Stay at a 'bed and breakfast', go wine tasting, get massages, plenty of places for good eats, and the views are perfect. I like SB better than the Napa Valley. Being close to the beach doesn't hurt either.

If you take her to 'Lost Wages', be prepared to spend mad loot on shopping sprees for her. For the price of a LV handbag, you could spend the weekend in SB.

We went there already when we were 19.. And it was a bad trip .. so Much WALKING!! and plus we weren't 25 YRs of age to rent a DaMM GolF Cart... and plus.. I get Sea SicK The Valentino Idea is what im kinda leaning towards... she loves italian food.. and the idea of dressing up? VERY VerY SMART!! i will do that regardless where i go... 110 - 150 is not too bad.. I will Look into that.. Santa Barbara .. Never been there... Bed in breakfast sounds great.. I wonder how much it will cost for a night.. N i am very cheap so i will stay away from the "sshOOpinG SPREE!" ahahha Never really heard of The radio city christmas spectacular in manhattan... is that in California?? Walking is good. It's always nice to walk. One of my favorite things to do with my wife is to go up into the mountains to this little secret trail that no one knows about. It's beautiful up there. We found a trail which goes for about 2 miles and ends with a waterfall and a little sandy pebble beach in a clearing in the forest. This is just in the mountains about 10 to 15 miles from the city. People should get out more.
