Nice job... I like the stripes!

I have a Camo xB as well, but went for the mini-cooper look.
I am still debating if I should paint the roof white.

Here it is in it's first off-road adventure, down to camp
in the middle of the woods, sporting a new skid plate...

gotta love the off road action

Steve - you can get them at most any grapics place who deals with Vynil very simple thing for most any vynil place to do even if they never done them before, or you can goto any Car graphics shop and they probably already have them made, and yes they are silver

Yea the more i look at it the more im loving them, i got them done at a shop who deals with moslty tints and side graphics so this was a little new to them it came out looking good and the flaws are balry noticble but if down the line im still big into them i will probbaly pay the good money and get them done at a Place who deals with only Custom work but there usally always a lot more expensive

ok... so how much did it run ya??

JoelXb
11-01-2004, 12:28 AM
it ran me like 175, but to be honest most good graphic places will run a little more i think if i had to do it again i would go with the higher price, it didnt come out bad came out pretty good but there small things that bother me when it comes to edges but u can only see the flaws if your right on top of it and looking for something wrong

HAWAIIANBUILT and Joel,

What are the widths and spacing of your vinyl stripes? I'm thinking of doing something with stripes as well.

JoelXb

wel from what i can tell in the pic i think Hawian is like 6 inch i wanted a little wider so i went with 7inch widths

Thanks Joel

what spacing did you use between the stripes?

HAWAIIANBUILT

I USED THE SPACING AND WIDTHS FROM WHAT THE ROOF LINES HAD...

IT WILL HELP YOU KEEP EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN THE RAISED RIDGES ON TOP OF THE ROOF...

I always admired Rodney's dual stripes as they were mounted cleanly, and lined up nicely. Rodney was also the first I knew that had dual exhausts. Evildave went with dual exhausts after seeing Rodney's a few weekends ago.

:D

Before you paint the roof white, look into doing a white vinyl wrap on the roof. It will conform to the shapes and can be removed if you don't like it of later you want to do something else.

EXACTLY!!!! This is what I'd done to see if a black roof would look ok on HL. Use 48" to get it in one peice and go to it. And if you don't like it, peel it off. Beats the hell outta getting a paint job and finding out you're not real thrilled with it.

I already got quotes... It's $600 to do vinyl and $300 for paint.
I think I'll get some more prices first and wait till next spring.
