Good install. But that seems like your whole front soundstage would be way off.

i have been doing sq installs for 10+years. and i must say this is one of the best staging cars i have ever heard. harry jurgenson's car is the only other one i think is better, and i took ideas fron his car.
i have morel wr4's in the dash and adire kodas in the doors. my sub insnt here yet, but i dont really need one.
i am using time allignment obviously, but its my car, not the passengers lol.

Why are you running the dash tweeters plus the tweeters in the pillars? I was told to nix the dash tweeters when running a component setup.

Time delay should solve that, its just more work.

To those of you wondering why, Scott, you want your image to be at eye level. This raises it tremendously along with possibly widening the soundstage.

Well your using time alignment so that should help you out. I'm just used to running my midbass next to my tweeter. If your running Adire and Morel you apparently know what your doing. As long as you like the sound thats all that matters. What amp do you have running the fronts?

esx 120.4 to the mids and tweets
a pioneer to the kodas, till i can score another esx (rare kinda)
and when my sub gets here ill have a esx 275.1 for it.

the height of the stage in the middle is 6 to 8 inches ubove the dash. everyone that has heard it, and that know what to listen fo, said it was the best staging car they ever heard. i used to run kick panels and they do work, BUT it seems you always have a left or right stage droop. or a need for a left and right eq, not to mention that you have to tell the judge not to put his legs a certain way and it was always very height dependant. i always had to find out who was judging so i could make seat adjustments. with this set up i can lean way forward or put my head on the head rest and the vocals are still in the center. my biggest reason for wanting dash speakers, was that tonality wasmy goal, i have nothing blocking the mid or tweet like a door or kick install. 90% of the music is right up in front with no obstructions.

maybe i can get to a chicago meet someday, would be glad to demo it.

Eye level is ear level on me at least and I'm 6'4" so those tweets would have to be raised to hit me in the nipples. I have heard many hard fast "rules" about speaker placement and setup and have also heard about as many other cars that just seem to break all the rules and sound great! I personally run my tweets at the top of the A-piller and do not regret putting them there. I always wonder about soundstage and image being so defined as to location. At a live performance are you always at front center stage at band level? I rarely have been and when in my car I sit to the left. My point is, let your ears decide. I have seen guys walk up to a car and look in and then pronounce the system must be ____ because of such and such "rule" violation without ever hearing the system. "Rules" are made to be broken!
