Anyone w/ a lowered Xb have problems scraping at all? The Xb is my daily driver and this is one problem that I'd like to avoid. Haven't decided on springs yet but most likely won't be too aggressive.

Well, you will never get a gurantee that you won't scrape. There is always gonna be that one driveway thats gonna make you grind your teeth going over it. If you don't want to drop it that much, go with some TRDs or even some TIEN H-techs. Those are springs that don't lower you that much. 8) Hope this helps. Hotchkis springs give a nice drop without being excessive. hotbox05 10-31-2004, 10:11 PM unfortunately it is all part of the scene. i scraped in my bimmer in my supra and now in my box. its not too bad after driving a lowered car for awhile you know how to drive it. lol sideways and slow lol. i can still go straight over regular speedbumps just not driveways. neckbonenick 10-31-2004, 10:21 PM I have hotckis springs and when i have 4 people in my car I scraped the hell out of my back bumper. Luckily it underneath where noone can see. TheScionicMan 10-31-2004, 10:28 PM I'm on GoldLines with a 2 inch drop and the only place I scrape is my driveway. It's a very steep drop. As long as I back in and drive out at an angle, I don't scrape. It is probably going to get redone this year... Not just because its scraping my baBy, but we need some repairs from there to the backyard... I only go across speedbumps at an angle for the look of it. 8) squirrel 11-01-2004, 02:28 AM I doesn't matter if your xB is lowered or not. I scraped mine in the city the first week I owned it. No matter how careful you are, there is going to be a speedbump or driveway that you're going to scrape on. I'm dropped 2.5 inches up front and scrape everywhere. I have gone up some pretty steep roads and my only sugestion would be to be careful..... its_ikon 11-09-2004, 01:38 AM i have had some careless times where i scraped my kit. those were times when i was in a rush |
