Hello, I have posted here before but now I have finnaly done it, this past friday the 29th, I went out and purchased a brand new Camo xB 5 speed from Scion Escondido. The only options I got were the fog lights and the cargo net. I absolutley love the car and its even starting to grow on my family. One question I have since I didnt get the scion security, can anyone reccoment a descent alarm system or should I just get the scion one when I have the money to do so? Take it easy and have a good halloween!

mikochu: edited topic to reflect question... Congratulations! :D

Best protection is Lojack, period. Who actually pays attention to a car alarm? no one.

That is dam funny. Shame on you Kenshi   . Humm, best security system. VIPER, I do not have one yet, but I have only herd good things about their alarms. LoJack is the best way to go, but there is not a installer of LoJack within 500 miles of my location, so that is not possible for me.

Ive heard a lot about the viper and clifford alarms, does anyone have any personal experience with these? Should they be installed professionally? Im pretty mechanicly inclined and could probably do it... it'll just look like a monkey did it.

have it installed professionally. Find a shop that warranties their installation and just pay 'em.

by the way, I have no experience with viper or clifford, but would guess that they are much better than code-alarm(a competitor). My code alarm CA-135 is the worst pos. I've been back to circuit city twice now and am trying to find time to take it back for the computer brain to be replaced.

I recommend the Viper GPS tracking system. It looks intresting since you can control everything from your phone like....

Arm and Disarm your Security System*
Lock or Unlock your Doors*
Start your engine with Remote Start*
Activate optional conveniences like Trunk Pop* or Remote Control Windows*

doesnt say the cost but its something to look into a 2-way pager alarm cant do jack if your far.
