I actually really like the difference from stock...i also have the TRD sway bar and strut bar...I dont want the stock 17s but idk what rims to get ... its between the EMX Super 7s or some Black Webs that i found....depending on how they look with the drop now i might have to change the springs to go a little lower....

nope, no lip....i was going to be putting the rs1 kit on over the summer though. but i heard that shouldn't be a problem. correct?

i'd be willing to do it myself if it weren't so damn cold out. but i dont have a garage. how long does it take to do?

No problems with the RS1 lip. It doesn't go far enough into the vent area to affect the fogs. Without the lip, I'd say it can be done in less than an hour. I have the OEM lip, and I'm a pefectionist, so it took me awhile to cut the lip and fit it perfect with the fogs.

Are you swapping the bulbs before you install them? If not, I would wait until you get bulbs. It's a whole lot easier to swap the bulbs when you can get access to the back of the light. Otherwise, you'll be removing the bumper again just to do a bulb swap.

oh no no...im definitely doing that before installing them. if people there are willing to help out with installing them at the meet i'd bring them with me with the bulbs swapped and the overlays on already.

What HIDs are you getting? They may not need a direct-to-battery relay.

The VRD fog lights hook right into the OEM Fog light wiring, not to the battery. You'll be fine.

im probably gonna be getting the mobilehids. 5000k.

Yes the MobileHIDs come with a relay to hook to the battery. I just installed mine about a week ago so I can help and you can see how I did mine

I think he means the s techs are low as ish, and he doesn't want to get under the car.

its MUCH harder to get under the car far enough to get good leverage when you are lowered a lot

could still pull it off though.. well see next friday

installing my skunk2 exhaust, i found that it is definately easier to lift the car up on one side.

my car is stock height but i think i also new a new gasket anyone know wat size i need its for my exhuast where the s pipe begins

VRD Fogs will be easy to install... no extra wiring needed.

A midpipe I wouldn't do in that parking lot... Fog lights would be like changing a light bulb which would be ok... But a whole midpipe.. I don't think so. It'll also be very hard to get the leverage you need to break open those bolts..

if my mid pipe doesn't come in by thrusday guess i won't bring my car cuz it sounds bad real bad so i'll be hitchin a ride wit my friend. anybody have a spot where i can do this install and would like to help me

If you have a jack and jack stands, you can do it in your driveway... heh.

(i sold the ones i had sitting around for over a month and ordered new ones for less than what i paid for the others)

i dunno if im gonna have the new ones in by the 29th...even though i PAID for them on the 7th. dammit.

yeah i dunno. we'll see. i had sold mine to get the grille/fogs deal. i originally had purchased them separately bc i didnt want the fogs at first. so i sold what i had to get the combo for less.

doesnt seem like it was worth it now. blah. we'll see what happens. i'll still try to make it out up there.

you're getting 2500k's AND overlays? why not just stick with the HIDs?

2500k's and overlays for the fogs. not my headlights.

the overlays are super light, i just wanted them to be a little smoked grey instead of having all that chrome showing in them. i have the 08 lights so there's no chrome to match like the 07 and under lights do.

my headlights are gonna have 5000k's soon.

I wanna see what they would look like.....i guess i would have to wait until Friday.....yay :P

hey SW, do you have any idea of the bulb size for our parking lights? is it the 168/194?

the parking lights behind the yellow corner im not sure. wont matter because they will show yellow because of the corner reflector. but inside the housing where the low beams are it is the 168/194 bulb size. and while you are it the license plate bulbs are also the same size. along with the 3 dome lights in the front

oh and i think it'll look good. the bulbs are the nokya ones so theyre pretty bright, when they're on they should drown out any of the darkness the overlays provide.

i just dont want the fog housings to be as white/bright as they come.

rec, im talking about the one right above the turn signal in the 08s...it shares the same part as the brights. its a smaller bulb, i thought it was the 168 but i wanna make sure before i pick something up.

man im not too fimiliar with the 08 headlights.. if you go out and look at it/take it out or take a pic and post it i should be able to tell you

its like 5 watts or something.....but i'm 100% sure its 168/194 if they aren't ( which i know they are ) i'll buy you some....*wink wink*

and viventi: hid's are so easy to install, its not funny. just plug the male into the female that fits it. just, if you have HID's, just make sure you have a relay.

im getting the mobilehid's silver, so im sure i'll be fine.
