To add 20mm wheel spacers...
NE1 exchange the existing wheel studs for longer ones for the rear?
How difficult was it?

How difficult was it? mikochu 11-01-2004, 01:18 PM Minsk99 did a tutorial on how to install H&R extended studs in the tech section (http://www.scionlife.com/tech). http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=26704 If you're just spacing out the back, I'd suggest ScionVan's 10mm wheel shims which go behind the hub. Then a 10mm spacer (which Van sells, as well). He sells both on his site, www.onetongarage.com. tschangrx7 11-01-2004, 01:39 PM Thanks that's helpful but I'll be changing the rear and rear setup looks different from front.... mikochu 11-01-2004, 01:44 PM Thanks that's helpful but I'll be changing the rear and rear setup looks different from front.... I suggest you get Van's 10mm wheel shims and 10mm wheel spacers... tschangrx7 11-01-2004, 02:10 PM Van's 10mm wheel spacers are not hub centric.....our cars need hub centric spacers that come with longer bolts. There's no instructions for this on his website.. I already have Van's shim kit installed. mikochu 11-01-2004, 02:15 PM Van's 10mm wheel spacers are not hub centric.....our cars need hub centric spacers that come with longer bolts. Maybe you should've gotten a better fitting wheel offset... :P tschangrx7 11-01-2004, 03:23 PM Unfortunately, that's what's required to completely fill the rear fenders on our xAs.... Without it, even with max wheel offset, back of our cars can look like a small version of Toyota family van.... |
