for more spirited driving, i'd still leave the front the softest, and have the rear on stiffest.

ditto, me and kanundrum run that setting too, and our tc's are daily drivers/autocross superstars.

best combination period, because stock ride height or lowered, n/a, turbo or super charged, this combination is just fine.

now depending on your driving preference you may like another setting better, but i've had this combination since last april and i love it, and i also have trd lowering springs and struts, and replaced my trd rear sway with this set.

what's the point of having the front on the softest? might as well leave it stock then.

I have mine on the hardest level on both front and back. I tried the med and the lightest, but I like the harder feel from the sways. doesn't wallow at all in the turns.

but it all depends on the feel that you like to have on your own car.

the whole point of swapping your front sways is to get rid of the wallowing in turns. why just somewhat fix the wallow. stiffen it up all the way!!!

the rear is easy, but the front is a biatch!!!

a lift will really help with the front. Jack stands suck to do the front.

let us know how it goes!

because too stiff = understeer.

the front needs to be stiffer than stock w/ the hotchkis rear sway because it's so much stiffer than stock.

Yup, too stiff Up Front = understeer. I've got Hotchkis F&R Anti-sways and Tein SS-P Coilovers and I still run the Soft setting on the front and the Hardest setting on the Rear. I Auto-X and in hard cornering Too Stiff of a setting up front will cause the Anti-roll bar to try and lift the inside front tire (your loosing "independence" in your independent suspension and the car still experiences weight transfer). Add that together with our car's Open Differental, and try to apply some power, you'll get lots of tire smoke from the inside tire and lots of understeer.

My tC is also Turbocharged and I got so tired of not being able to put down the power in the tight stuff, that I bought an 1987 MR2 (that car can rotate!) So now I have 2 cars with 2 different driving and handling characteristics to fit my mood.

hey! just put the sways in yesterday... the front was definitely a pain... they're not joking when they say you have to have patience to re-align the engine cradle with the bolt holes for the front bar.. it took 7 times as long installing the front than i did the rear!

I'll post some pics once i upload them.. I decided to go with hard setting in the front and medium in the back but i think when i install the springs next weekend I'm going to go ahead and set the rear to hard too...

man, what a difference!

I had them both on soft with my TRDs. When i switched to Hotchkis springs, I had to adjust my rear to medium.
Now that I'm boosted, I had ot switch my rear to stiff, but my front is still on soft. LOVE EM!
