Default Got a ticket today...

Ok so I got a ticket today going 49 in a 35, I know no one cares blah blah blah

There is a point of this thread. For all the Illinois drivers out there. I am trying to get away with this without my parents finding out. I got mail in court supervision, so all I have to do is mail the ticket in and I get court supervision, good deal. My question for anyone who has had a similar situation is, will then send anything back to my house about it? If not I can get away with it which will be great.

BTW, if my parents find out, 6 months no car, no questions asked

Tell the truth. Because if they find out you lied, it will end up ten times as bad!!!

One way or another they will find out about it. I tried the same thing years ago and my mother found out I got a ticket. She beat me to the mailbox.

insurance wont jump if your taking supervision, thats what its for, then the ticket doesn't go on record. Dont tell your parents! Tuff it out and call the county court and ask if they will be sending anything to you.

+1 for telling the truth to your parents. I'm assuming they're paying for your car and insurance. First I told my parents on my first ticket, not so bad. It got worse when I tried to hide my 2nd one.

I do pay my insurance, and like someone said it won't just with supervision. I definatly think i will be calling the court sometime soon and see if they will be sending anything. Beating my parents to the mailbox will be tough, b/c usually the mail gets here before i get home from school.

Again, has anyone had a similar situation and gotten away with it?

Please read the thread. I have no problem paying the fine, and have no need for a traffic lawyer. I'm just trying to hide it from my parents.

Dude they will find out one way or another Believe me I tried to hide mine from my dad and was almost successful until he beat me to the mailbox outside of the house. I would've take getting grounded for the truth then a lie. And if you tell the truth you might not get grounded for a s long. And it shows responsibility so you won't get punished the next time around.

Its time to grow up. You are old enough to drive a car so own up to what you did wrong in your car. 49 in a 35 is not that bad. It could have been worse. Im sure your parents will understand they were kids once too. Im sure they will appretiate you being honest with them. And you will feel better as well. Just think about how much it will be hanging over your head if you try to hide it, every time you talk to your parents you will be thinking are they gonna find out. Grow a pair and tell them the truth.

Saying this as a parent...................

Dude...........I don't have time for excuses..........you are growing up to be a man.............show me you can be a man...........let your parent know as a man that you had an incedent............let them know you chose to be honest and let them know..........it is a lot harder to punish a person who steps up................

If it goes bad then take your licks like a man...........you agreed it sounds like to their rules in order to get the prize.............now learn from it and step up.........

dishonesty in any form breeds from childishness and stupidity............

You asked...........and let me add...........I am an A$$hole of a parent..............
