Default protecting interior panels from scraches?

Has anyone "flocked" the interior panels.(flocking is a process that the rally drivers do to the dash to reduce glare, it looks like a powder and it fuzzyto the touch). Or has anyone recovered the whole door panels in suede or anything.

I have two small dogs and have seen what they can do to my fiances civic. I just dont what to had to worry all the time. Or Dog proof the car ever time we go for a spin.
thanks

Ok I have an 80 pound rottie Mix named Mocha. Have a travel berrier to keep her from falling between the seats in Brakling Emargency. IT works and saved my LAte shephaards life in Collision. Also have cargo mat for back area. Have not done eny interior redesigning for Mocha She rides in back and will actually lay down in middle of scion after a while. Thats the best I can offer for Doggie Scionizing sorry.......

This is something I have been trying to figure out as well. I don't want to go as far as having to suede anything, but was thinking there should be some sort of protectorant that would work. Even for scratches I could make, I have already seen two on the lower portions.. not the diamond patterned portion.
