http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SCION-03-07-xA-T-JDM-SPORT-FRONT-GRILL-GRILLE-IST-MESH_W0QQitemZ300179084488QQihZ020QQcategoryZ33645QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

i dont think its factory
but reasonable price so im thinking.....

have anyone purchased this?
how does it fit?
durable?
worth the price?

its $49 + $39 shipping and im thinking paying $60 for
painting service. so about $150 total.

what do you think?

or plz let me know if theres any good grill out there!

looks like the RS1 grill to me only fiberglass i'd say buy the real thing so you dont have to worry about the headache of it not fitting

I'm going to try the ebay grill in a few months.. So either way, but if you get it, and you don't like it. I'll buy it from you. Thanks!

If a matching lower grille was available, I would buy both, but I don't like the look of 2 different grille styles on the front.

If you buy it, you could use some black zip ties to attach a piece of matching mesh screen in front of your lower grille. (I wouldn't do a mod like that, but I know a lot of people do it.)

Great grill, not factory, will need slight mod to fit 06 bumper. Will cost you about $100 to get it painted right. I think it's a great deal for what it is and if painted and installed right is nice. I think it will look esp. good on a black xA.

scionxAchic

any idea on what the mods are?

INFINI

For an 06 bumper? it will fit perfectly on the others I think.

yes, for an 06

For motz I don't htink there will be ANY issues but for you it will need some cutting of pieces on the bottom of the FG grill. Has to be done careful though cause FG does not like being messed with.

You see the 06 bumper is a tad higher. When I was prepping the Kenstyle front grill form my car it also did not fit 100% and I would have had to either use some Crazy powerful glue/Velcro or cut the bottom a bit to keep it a nice snug fit.

Or you can cut the bumper :) Why I sold the grill and am not using it.

that will not work on the 06 without extensive cutting. and it is a knock off version of the RS1 or Sport Grill from Toyota. authentic versions have tabs on the bottom of the grill that help it stay in place, i'm curious to see how they want you to hold that in place without them.

also, i'd stay away from knock offs... you get what you pay for

I looked over the feedback for that grill, everyone who left it was very happy.

I am sure this one is fine and will fit fine for the 05 and under but the 06 will take some work. Not extensive if you have a pro do it though. My friend and ex-pres of my team has one on his and it looks great. But he also has an entire body kit.

my freind got it for his 06 and it did not fit..... he sold it to my other freind with 04 and it fit great

It fit's with allot/some adjustments like I said. But I would not get it for an 06.

There are two tabs on the back that are more often then not deformed. A little knowledge of bodywork is useful in the install.

My install on my body kit front bumper (fiberglass)
1. Removed tabs as they were deformed and in the way.
2. Roughed up the area to be bonded with low grit sandpaper.
3. measured the fitment angle with a headlight and laid down bonding putty.
4. Sculpt and blend.

Now with a stock bumper. the ABS plastic will not bond with a putty very well. So I would imagine that you would sant to get a long fastener and connect the grill through the tabs that come on the piece.

okay finally it came in and i installed it.
uhmmm its okay i guess
i just dont like the gap between the hood and the grill
but oh wellyou get what you paid for right?
i had to sand the little hook thingee thats supposed to attach to the bumper
cuz it was too big

i also had my full-face tint done and installed angel ring fog

here are the pictures
