Default 2008 Projector Headlights with Acura Projectors

It took me a while, but here is a website with pictures of my car with aftermarket headlights with HID bulbs and ballasts, and pictures of 2008 OEM headlights with the new Acura HID projectors. I'm in the process of purchasing angel eyes from a guy on ebay with generic angel eyes to determine if they fit before I put the headlamp back together. Sorry it took so long. As soon as I get the angel eyes installed, I'll show the differences between aftermarket HID headlights and the Acura projector HID headlights.

Car is looking good, it will look much better with the headlights, and I think the tails kill the vibe a bit. Good luck with the retro.

-1 on the tails, yuck! Anywho, if i remember correctly your TSX projectors are upside down? You should start a topic once its all said and done. This is the reason your other thread got locked.

Thanks for all the feedback! Appreciate it...The projectors are not upside down. I took them apart and cleaned the inside reflector and made sure the light guard was right side up. (also, I have modified a lot of headlights, projectors , HID, angel eyes, etc. and I always check and clean the inside) Anyway, I find that the tail lights give such a mixed reaction. When you see them in person, everyone (including the dealers) really like them...more to follow..thanks again...

Did you have to modify the headlight to get them to fit, or do they just bolt in?

I had to drill 3 new holes to make them fit.

That's awesome, that seems to be as plug and play that a retro fit can get. Do you have any pics of the back of the headlight?

I will put up pictures of the back of the headlight when I'm back home this weekend. The only real concern for the retrofit is to make sure the projector is positioned correctly pointing straight out from the mounting plate so that doesn't point either left or right. Also, the projector has to be positioned horizontally so that the upper light guard within the projector is horizontal. I know this sounds like common sense, but when you mount the projector, it's hard to see what position it is aligned to, both vertically and horizontally.

Dude that tsx projector in the pictures is upside down, please just listen, go outside and turn it on so u can see for urself, im honestly trying to save u time and embarrasment (sp?) the cutoff shield should be on the bottom not on top, remember that the projector lense flips the light around, take a look at this picture of a working projector

I will check the cutoff again, but the cutoff appears to be in the correct position. I have already placed HIDs in them to check their capability and everything appeared correct. In fact, they were in a 2005 headlamp that was retofitted just like yours, and they were in the same orientation. However, I will check it again this weekend.
