What complaints do you have?
ok, i have a 05 BSP tC currently and i have been wanting an xB for a long time, i am getting closer and closer to getting one but i have one big question
What are the Cons that you guys notice with your xBs
The tC is known for the rattles and squeaks but i was wondering if there was anything in the xB similar,
So what complaints, if any, do you xB owners about your boxes?

I ditto what dmpsk8 said about the windshield and rear hatch handle.
The big advantage IMHO about the 1st gen Box is the amount of glass it has all the way around.
It has a unparallel view with virtually no blind spots. You can't say that about the gen 2 Box.
That being said, on the flip side that is it's biggest disadvantage if you are in a sunny climate.
It gets pretty sunny and warm where I'm at in Cali.
The very 1st thing I did when I got my Box was go to the Tint shop.
I have 5% limo tint over the factory tint on all the windows but the 2 front.
I have a 50% limo tint on the 2 front windows (illegal in CA). I can see out very good
in daytime and can see alright out the back. The plus with limo on the back is
it is dark enough that when big pickups/Suvs have their lights shining through,
at night, I'm not bother at all. Don't need to even reach for the Day/Night lever on the rear
view mirror.
I digress. But, if you are in a sunny State & planning on picking up a 1st gen Box,
I am a big proponent on dark Tinting, you get more privacy, less load on the AC, less Sun damage to your Interior.
Overall, I LOVE my Luv Mobile :D

MR LUV
The complaints I have are the interior needs way more sound proofing, something I'll do later. Also it could get better gas mileage, I just got the worst mileage I hope to ever get, an abismal 14mpg, which is caused probally by letting my car idle for about 5-6 hours over the course of the tank to warm it up...
Usually average 23-25mpg in town.
I'd say it might be a little loud when driving, but not as loud as most cars I've driven. With the manual tranny, the xb isnt too slow for my tastes. Other than that it's really hard to think of stuff. I guess there could be a little more trunk space, but I've never really needed more.
Well i am not at all worried about the speed, i drive my tC like a granny.
My rear hatch handle is popping when i put too much stress on it also which i know is not supposed to happen. The viability is kinda crappy in the tC so that is +1
I am really concerned about the millage, my tC gets about 22 -25 mpg and i know there are tons of posts on the millage benefits of the boxes, isn't 23-25 kinda low for in city travel, what do you get on the hi-way MSIguy?

Highway mpgs are worse than city, at least on my manual. 4k rpm at 80mph. 65 mph is not much better.
The AC is kind of weak.
The stock stereo is even weaker, but no doubt you'll upgrade that yourself.
It is loud on the road.
When tires are inflated properly, you feel everything. This can be fixed with a common shock mod.
When you use the fob to open the doors, after a short while they lock again (I hate this).
SUV's and pickups can blind you at night with their low beams. See dude above with the limo tint.
There are rattles out the wazoo. One sounds like it's coming from my front left dash speaker.
No stock armrest- easilly fixed with aftermarket.
Interior lighting is weak compared to other vehicles.
High wind is your enemy (to be expected).
But know what? I love the damn thing and couldn't imagine not having it.

Probably my biggest gripe would be the suspension! When I throw my 18" TRDs on for the summer, I HATE the way it feels when you hit a friggin' pebble!
2nd would be the cheap-a$$ paint, chips too easy...
Other than that, I
my caja!

the only problem i have with my xb is.. im 6'4" most of my tallness is in my legs.. so my right knee has to rest up against the center console..
i always get told how roomy mine is for the passengers.. which is a plus.. its not a fast car, but its still very practical..

First off-like most of these people-I love it!
Windshield chips due to it's up-rightness-trade off is great visibility as said above and no roof in your face feelinglike some newer cars with steep rake.
Slow? It's very quick around town with a manual-geared low and light but don't be racing any evo's or anything
Handles awesome with descent tires
Hauls amazing amount of stuff including already assembled futons (2 diff ones)
30+mpg unless you're on it
Easy and cheap to modify (springs, exhaust, intake, lights)
I have a super annoying rattle under my dash somewhere aound the steering shaft also
Scion sold a ton of these so repair parts in junk yards will be good as time goes on
Comfy-could use little more soundproofing-(adds weight)
Lots of DIY people on this website can show how to do that as well as many other things
Where else can you get a car that handles like a sports car, transports better than an SUV, gets the mileage of an economy car, is super easy to park and drive, lasts like a toyota, and is a classic in the fact that there are only 3 years of this body style and nothing else looks like it.

Three things, really:
A. It's missing about 100HP.
B. Its pretty uncomfortable on the freeway.
C. You think your TC has rattles and squeaks?! HA! You ain't seen nuthin' yet!
On the plus side:
1. It handles pretty nicely stock, which can be massively improved upon with some VERY easy to do suspension mods, tires, etc.
2. The gas mileage is awesome. I've gotten a high of 43.86MPG!
3. Great visibility.
4. 1,000s of available mods, nearly all very easy for even a novice to install.
5. Looks freakin' cool as heck!
6. This list of "pluses" is virtually infinite!
