onemorescion 12-17-2007, 06:52 PM Is the exhaust going to be a cat-back or axle back assembly?
Is the exhaust going to be a cat-back or axle back assembly?
I'd like to know this as well & prices.
I would like an update as well
all pm's replied to. exhaust answers coming shortly
Nzaw4 12-19-2007, 06:50 PM Prices please for exhaust and header.
Is the exhaust going to be a cat-back or axle back assembly?
Its a 2 piece axleback just like the tc exhaust
xseveredveganx 12-19-2007, 11:30 PM I doubt there's any yet, but any pictures?
Aaaaaand if you have a minute, you can PM me some pricing.
specific pricing is coming shortly(i've given people hints by looking at the tc header we have from strup with percentages taken off. Pictures i should have tonight or tomorrow at latest..but again...its not going to look a ton different then the tc header given its the same drivetrain.(and of course you know the tc header doesn't work on the new xB.)
xseveredveganx 12-20-2007, 01:21 AM I meant the exhaust. Header would be nice because it cleans up the engine bay a TON.
Power gain would be nice, but not really neccessary for me. :)
I'll have exhausts in hand in 3weeks. pics shortly. pricing i'll do what i can helping scion-life members as always. I've always done a good job with scion-life members and making them as happy as i'm able. We also have a stellar reputation with service and products.

they are ready to go..but its just a matter of having it on the site so you can order it. working on the site tonight.
also...it goes from the resonator back. not a cat back, not an axle back but nearly a cat back...lol. good to use a resonator
coryjames 12-22-2007, 12:06 AM there is a cat in that resonator thats probably why they didnt do it from the spipe back so it will be up on the site tonight and do you have them instock so they would ship out asap?
yes and yes. sending out pm's right now...here are the links. btw...the coated headers are stainless...not mild steel.

xseveredveganx 12-22-2007, 05:31 AM I really can't wait to see the exhaust installed.
I'm still thinking I want something dual out the right side where the stock exits. Just larger diamater, slash cut, and stick out a little bit. Put a little VIP on my car, but not too much. lol!
coryjames 12-22-2007, 05:35 AM lol yeah i have the trd rear section and i took off the resonator and mad it so you can hear it actually i like the way the strup rear section looks i like the exposed can section
coryjames 12-22-2007, 03:43 PM sweet lip whens that bad boy ship out?
lvbitwiz 12-22-2007, 06:57 PM sweet lip whens that bad boy ship out?
Right after mine :P
coryjames 12-22-2007, 07:29 PM what one did you order and what exhaust you have?
and i do belive orders go out alphabetical lol hahahahahahah
redline8k 12-22-2007, 10:31 PM any plans for a dual exhaust?
Is the the ceramic coated one heat coated? That would be a cool option- jet hot coating...
Does the header throw a code and if so what what can be done to fix it. Resistor?
How many cats are removed if both units are installed?
thanks
-nick
Not sure at this time if there will be a dual exhaust. Strup does offer seperate canister mufflers for those that want to do their own custom stuff.
i'll check on the coating but ceramic coating IS a heat treating. The few that i know of on xB's are not throwing codes...i'll find out more. As stated a few posts before this...no cats removed, keeps stock resonators in place...its right after the resonator is when the strup exhaust starts.
Jeff
coryjames 12-23-2007, 04:37 PM so lip when it ship out man cant wait need to know so i can start counting down the days lol

cincinfocal 12-27-2007, 04:22 PM subscribed...cant wait for sound clip and to see it installed...
NoLimitzBuilt 12-27-2007, 06:01 PM the sound is almost the exact same as stock with just the header. I have had the header for about 3 months now.
coryjames 12-27-2007, 10:15 PM it will probably sound alot different on mine cause i dont have the stock resonator
cincinfocal 12-27-2007, 10:38 PM and i will be keeping my header for a while...still...cant wait :D
NoLimitzBuilt 12-28-2007, 12:46 PM yeah I am sure it will sound different without the resonator in there. I am just waiting on the exhaust to get here.
coryjames 12-28-2007, 09:18 PM yeah im waiting for the ups guy to get here it should be here today if it shipped out on monday so we will have to see you have the stainless right nolimitz
NoLimitzBuilt 12-28-2007, 09:22 PM yes I have the stainless. what did you order?
coryjames 12-28-2007, 09:28 PM ceramic i dont like shiny things lol i hope it comes today cause i want to put it on tomorrow
coryjames 12-28-2007, 09:44 PM well i tried to contact partshipper today and could not get a hold of any one i just wanted a tracking number and to see when it shipped out cause that would be nice info to know
NoLimitzBuilt 12-28-2007, 09:54 PM could have got that from me... LMAO
coryjames 12-28-2007, 10:28 PM well i just got off the phone with them, and i guess they dont even have it in stock. They wont get it in till next week sometime. Wish I would have know this the reason being the headers arent even done getting coated yet. This stinks get me all excited i feel like the old man just took my candy..........
could have got that from me... LMAO
how much stock do YOU actually have? Do you order/carry enough Strup products be on something higher then a AA pricing teir?
As i told Cory, we purchase in quantity...but the stainless are in stock...the ceramic coated are being done.
We'll take care of it...and any future order you have Cory...just ask and i'll help you out due to the short wait.

You asked me that on the phone cory. I said next week. Here...here is my email from Charlie at strup dated 12/26...word for word and i said to you they will be done early next week and shipped out to you in Colorado next week.
"Hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
Just a reminder of the new part number for the ceramic coated 08 Scion xB Header. TC11103. Al the ceramic part numbers will have a C after the first letter. The TC11103's will be available next week for shipment. The Stainless Headers you ordered are now in stock.

coryjames 12-28-2007, 11:52 PM sweet, and arent those the xb1 coilovers? and ok just checking. Just cant wait to get the header in was kinda my xmas present to my self. it will just be a little late. I hope i get it next week not the week after next......
i'm having progress work on the xB2's as well. waiting for development updates
the xB1 progress coilovers were my idea personally. I convinced them a couple years ago at a show then attended in Atlantic City NJ that if they produce them the way we discussed...they would sell. The got back to CA and worked on them. The very first set were tested on an xB that went to SEMA and the next set showed up in my hands.
Trying to get the xB2's developed
xseveredveganx 12-28-2007, 11:54 PM I was just saying I know (and like) where you're going with everything. I.E. coilovers....
coryjames 12-28-2007, 11:57 PM hell yeah
coryjames 12-29-2007, 12:08 AM will they be more like the ksport with pillow ball mounts and camber adjusments?
NoLimitzBuilt 12-30-2007, 02:09 AM could have got that from me... LMAO

Jeff....
As a matter of fact I do get better then the AA pricing. Sorry to bust your bubble. Lets just say I have had my header for almost 3 months. I was the one that helped develop the one for the second gen..
On another note though. Glad to see you are getting taken care of Cory..
newscionboy 12-30-2007, 04:28 AM when will you guys have a sound clip for the exhaust system?
Jeff....

great. Get your website up. Its easier to sell your products then to let others know you have the same products i do in a thread i produce.
coryjames 12-30-2007, 06:34 PM word to your grandma
NoLimitzBuilt 12-31-2007, 01:42 PM It is coming.
coryjames 12-31-2007, 06:00 PM hey no limits how is the gain with the header?
NoLimitzBuilt 12-31-2007, 06:47 PM It is hard to tell. Like I had mentioned before. I am still running stock from the header back. So the gain is most likely weak. I did notice some though for sure. I am waiting to get the rest of the exhaust and them maybe have the dyno done. So I have a idea where I stand with the mods that are done.
coryjames 12-31-2007, 07:33 PM as soon as i get mine i will dyno it i have a full 2.5 header back with no res and a 3 inch cat with the trd intake and a nst pulley
NoLimitzBuilt 12-31-2007, 09:02 PM I hope you like it loud. I had that exact set up on my tC and it was very loud. I ended up putting the stock mid pipe back in and then got the nice low, deep sound. I learned my lesson on that.
Yeah I am going to see what mine does. I have 2 different intakes to try, and then have the header, exhaust and NST pulley. I will see if I can get the 35 shot of NX going by then also.
coryjames 12-31-2007, 09:09 PM well i have a 3 inch resonator to put in but waiting till the header gets hear and i i got some of my n2o stuff here already my window switch with the built in tps sensor going to run a 75 shot what kit you going to run and should do a write up on the activation switch install or are you doing a happy button
NoLimitzBuilt 12-31-2007, 09:20 PM I already have it all. I just have not had the time to finish up the install. Ouch a 75 shot huh? Let me know how that works out for you. I am doing a TPS, and then doing the button on the wheel for purging.
Trust me, I drove my tC to NM and back and when I got back. I put my factory mid pipe back in, actually gained some HP also. I dont think the scions need a 2.5" unless you are boosted.
coryjames 12-31-2007, 09:23 PM i just went with what the spipe was all the way to the trd axle back and tps good no window switch? when you figure out the wire that drops voltage at the tb let me know or if i do mine first i will let you know any idea on what wire sends the tach signal?
NoLimitzBuilt 12-31-2007, 09:45 PM I will find out. I have the rest of this week to finish up some stuff that I have been putting off on the xB. I am going to mess with the NX kit. Finish making some motor panels. Change out the radiator fluid. So a busy week. LOL
coryjames 12-31-2007, 09:54 PM yeah for sure hope my header gets here soon and cant wait to get on the dyno
if people want to buy...i suggest purchase and preorders. We must raise prices back up after the new year. Please pm me for pricing and coupon codes soon
redline8k 12-31-2007, 11:08 PM pm me please wtih normal price and coupon code...
thanks

tatwongkungfu 01-03-2008, 05:28 AM are those headers street legal?
lvbitwiz 01-03-2008, 05:45 AM lol dang you so funny lolsos did you get yours back ivbitwiz?
back?
coryjames 01-03-2008, 12:33 PM sorry i was having a momet lol
are those headers street legal?
define street legal? In CA? they apparently have really crazy sniffer/visual tests. I'm not sure what other state that is like that...i haven't heard of any. Over the past few years...all the strup header and exhausts have past emissions testing to my knowledge in all other states. I haven't heard of one issue so far.
As soon as Cali wakes up...i'll have tracking info for paid customers.
Jeff
tatwongkungfu 01-04-2008, 05:29 AM i live in CA, im just wondering if they have a carb sticker on it when you buy those headers, thanks.
lvbitwiz 01-04-2008, 10:10 PM Come in from work and oooo! Lookie what DHL left me
http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n29/bitwiz/header001.jpg

coryjames 01-04-2008, 11:06 PM is that the ceramic or stainless and dang looks good
lvbitwiz 01-04-2008, 11:25 PM Ceramic
coryjames 01-05-2008, 12:20 AM mine says it will be here the 8th hope it gets sooner lol
CIONIDE 01-05-2008, 12:25 AM lvbitwiz, once I saw yours was ceramic I knew coryjames would be all over it.
lvbitwiz 01-05-2008, 12:33 AM The cool thing about Ground shipping from Ontario Cali, it's pretty much next day to vegas  Ill be putting it in tomorrow morning, Ill shoot some pics up afterward
coryjames 01-05-2008, 12:45 AM yeah for sure what exhaust you got tell me how the install goes did you get a cell eliminator?
whitebreadbox 01-05-2008, 06:57 PM ^ yeah, does this header throw the CEL?
coryjames 01-05-2008, 07:00 PM most headers do throw them on and off cause your taking out a cat and the second o2 sensor senses that so just buy a 40 part from wr the cel eliminator and stop this from ever happening
fyi...if people want to get the exhausts and headers for the discounted price...i'll continue the sale for this week since it took some time to get the products in.
Jeff
lvbitwiz 01-05-2008, 09:13 PM Installed easily, no CEL.
http://i108.photobucket.com/albums/n29/bitwiz/strup002.jpg
coryjames 01-05-2008, 09:14 PM that is sexy how does it run can you feel any change ?
lvbitwiz 01-05-2008, 09:18 PM Runs smooth, a bit louder than stock, feels like there is more power, but I tend to not trust the 'butt dyno' It'll rock once my exhaust arrives.
coryjames 01-05-2008, 09:20 PM heck yeah any words of advice for the install????
lvbitwiz 01-05-2008, 09:22 PM heck yeah any words of advice for the install????
wear gloves  I slipped and banged up the knuckles. Also needed a U joint for my socket to get one nut off by the alternator
coryjames 01-05-2008, 09:33 PM lol i already figured out the one by the alt i banged on a socket and used a small drive ratchet exstention like a ujoint did you have to jack the car up or did you do it all from the top side???
lvbitwiz 01-05-2008, 09:36 PM lol i already figured out the one by the alt i banged on a socket and used a small drive ratchet exstention like a ujoint did you have to jack the car up or did you do it all from the top side???
Being that my car is dropped, yes, I had to jack it up to get to the two bolts
coryjames 01-05-2008, 09:37 PM the one on the support brackets or the flange the ones with springs on them???? and you got stock exhaust right? how much of a diff did it make i know im going to have to put in a resonator
NoLimitzBuilt 01-05-2008, 11:26 PM Have you driving on the freeway yet? You will most likely get a CEL, I will put 20 bucks on it. Right now both sensors are seeing the same reading. After about 20 minutes on the freeway is when it will pop on.
eight08customs 01-06-2008, 12:28 AM the light comes on than??
OK what do you need to do to get the light off..
or you just drive with the light on.. IM already driving with the TPS light on.. lol
lvbitwiz 01-06-2008, 01:03 AM Have you driving on the freeway yet? You will most likely get a CEL, I will put 20 bucks on it. Right now both sensors are seeing the same reading. After about 20 minutes on the freeway is when it will pop on.
Yup, just got home after going out to dinner, boink! One CEL *shrug* no big, I was kinda expecting it
whitebreadbox 01-06-2008, 02:07 AM so you DO get a CEL? does this CEL cause a safety system to come on, like more fuel to keep the engine from overheating or something like that? and if you do use a CEL eliminator, does it just cut it out for that system or does it block a CEL for other problems? i really want to get this header. have heard nothing but great things about strup, and i've run out of engine performance things to buy :P , but i don't want to sacrifice reliability in the process.

Ok i usally know who things work.. But sorry if this sounds like a dumb question..
but from Looking at the pic of this product.. is that a universal product or made for each type of car?
Becuase this is what it reads in the site
http://weapon-r.com/english/images/963-111-101.jpg
of that Check Engine Light and your car going into Limp Mode? We have the solution. Our CEL Light Eliminator gets rid of that CEL light and doesn’t effect the performance of your vehicle. We carefully test and research the correct amount of O2 carbons which are needed for the vehicle to correctly operate, at the same time we are able to extract the maximum horsepower potential out of the vehicle. Power without sacrifice..
SO you have used this product and it turned the light off.. is that pic the exact pic of the product..
So what it does is you screw it in to where the O2 Sensor goes and you screw the o2 sender intot he other end of that product..
I sort of intersted in how this works...
Do yuhave anypics of this installed in your car??
whitebreadbox 01-06-2008, 01:41 PM yeah, i second that question!!! ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
in order for the a/f ratio to be monitored, it needs to see flow past the sensor. by looking at the above pic, all that will see is the first sign of exhaust when the engine starts and will cause a vacuum in the tube from the where the sensor is mounted (like blowing across a beer bottle top or an old school perfume bottle). i'm just asking questions by way of putting it out in the way i understand it. don't beat me up too bad. maybe it just works by PFM!!!
its basically a way to space out the O2 sensor so that it still reads SOME exhaust gasses but it removes the O2 sensor from the direct flow of the gasses as to make the ECU believe there is a restriction in the exhaust gasses such as by a Catalyst.
coryjames 01-06-2008, 03:38 PM and to answer your q 808 you put it in line on your second 02 sensor its the emissions 02 sensor it just makes it thing the cat it taking things out so it sees less pollution and its universal it screws in and then you put in your 02 they work great i highly recommend it if your running a header
healthynine 01-06-2008, 03:57 PM Yeah, that looks a lot like and expensive version of using anti-foulers to not trip the 02 sensor. IMO I think its better than an electrical O2 fix. I used anti-foulers(2) for a few bucks to basically just put space between the exhaust gas and the sensor with no cat on my evo, and never had a problem.
It'll cost you about $10 for two spark plug anti foulers, and you'll probably need to drill them out.
coryjames 01-06-2008, 04:01 PM yeah i don't like the anti foulers got to drill them out and they take up a lot of room plus they are aluminum so they corrode like crazy and are a _____ to take off
NoLimitzBuilt 01-06-2008, 10:20 PM I wont say I told you so.. But.. LOL..
I use the the weapon R one in mine. Have had 0 issues at all with it. The anti foulers dont work very well either. I tryed it in my tC and they kept giving me the CEL. I then went to the weapon R peice and had no issues at all after that.
coryjames 01-06-2008, 10:24 PM so like me and nolimits are saying you get what oyu pay for you take the cheap way out you get what you deserve i tried the autifouler trick it was trash the 50 is a wallet breaker so why worrie
lvbitwiz 01-06-2008, 10:31 PM I'll be getting one, cause I'm loving the extra oomph I'm getting from the header
coryjames 01-06-2008, 10:35 PM yeah mine will be here tomorow wr wasnt open till thurs took 2 weeks off for the holidays so its going to be here tomorrow its worth spending the money on

redline8k 01-08-2008, 12:42 AM thanks for posting the pics looks great, can you take some pics from the flange looking inside the runners? and maybe one looking into the collector. Are they smooth? It looks like a nice piece. Oh and the cel fix gets installed in the o2 bung on the header right there...? It might look abit weird. I wonder what the resistance value would be if I wanted to install a resistor fix...
thanks
-nick
coryjames 01-08-2008, 02:10 AM no it goes on the second o2 sensor on your spipe i just installed it you have to take out the spipe to put in the cel eliminator kinda a pain to do by your self in 3 inches of snow like i did today it pulls great no cell and i drove about 20 miles on it even hit the high way cruised at about 85 for a mile or so no problems im getting a little bit of rasp but i dont have the stock resonator i just have a high flow cat maybe down the road i will put in a resonator but who knows
PartShippers 01-08-2008, 02:37 AM glad you got it together so fast. let us know how things are going with updates

madmarx 01-09-2008, 11:15 PM Just installed the Strup Header with a Borla dual exhaust. Wow a little louder than I may have wanted and a bit of the coffee can sound; although, the tone seems to be mellowing after a few miles.
The CEL light turned on and the VSC light started blinking after about 20 miles. Hopefull that the Weapon R cure will fix both problems.
coryjames 01-09-2008, 11:26 PM it will fix it and i bet you have a whole lot of rasp huh mad marx
tahoepimp 01-09-2008, 11:42 PM yeah i dont know why the trac control and VSC light came on with the header install hoping the cel eliminator gets rid of it i hate idiot lights being on
coryjames 01-10-2008, 12:04 AM it will get rid of them i have ben driving around with my header for probably 200 miles and i havent gotten a cel yet with the wr cel eliminator
tahoepimp 01-10-2008, 12:13 AM yeah i know it will get rid of the check engine light but i was curious as to why the trac control and vsc light came on in the first place changing the header touched nothing to do with it but as long as cel eliminator will get rid of it i trust you know what your talking about since youve had yours for while
for the cel elim it goes on the the 2nd 02 sensor correct
coryjames 01-10-2008, 12:18 AM yes the second one you have to take off the spipe to install it i did mine in the snow i was pretty upset
xseveredveganx 01-10-2008, 12:42 AM yes the second one you have to take off the spipe to install it i did mine in the snow i was pretty upset

i think that sounds GREAT!!! nice tone, not too raspy. you said that you removed the 3way cat and resonator section, right? if so, how is the resonance in the vehicle?
coryjames 01-11-2008, 11:10 PM its not loud but i can hear it when your cruising you cant hear it if the radio is on it sounds amazing though

That's considered an axle-back right? Almost looks like a full cat.
broken_20_2 02-08-2008, 01:59 PM ^^^ That's what I was thinking too.
cincinfocal 02-08-2008, 03:26 PM it connects right behind the axle...by the resonator/cat thingy...
So if you install the strup header and the axle back together will there be a bottleneck in the middle somewhere? I haven't been under the car to see the exhaust piping to determine that.
06scioxb 02-08-2008, 05:15 PM the new xb has header,s-pipe,precat,mid-pipe and then axleback
lvbitwiz 02-08-2008, 06:20 PM It's resonator back, enjoy the pics and the video. The vid is a before and after so you can compare. Kinda crappy audio (unless you want the 290MB raw video) But both in cabin and out there is a much deeper tone that isn't annoying like the 'fart cans' (my son's term)

EDIT actually saw the video with header lol
broken_20_2 02-08-2008, 07:10 PM No offense, but I think it would look better if it didn't stick out so far and if it was a tad closer to the bumper. Mad props on having the whole exhaust system though!
miketf1 02-08-2008, 08:55 PM i think it sounds pretty good. i expect that it should be a pretty nice low rumble at city speeds.
my only problem is that it looks like the exhaust is angled down. i would like it to be straight out but maybe its just the angle of the camera.
coryjames 02-08-2008, 09:16 PM it sounds good a little to quiet for my tastes i like my set up it sounds mean but that looks amazing

It does have a very sastifying rumble while driving around town, and forgive the camera angle, it comes out striaght

I was surprised at how quiet it actually was, but for my personaly tastes, I'm really happy with how it all turned out.
coryjames 02-08-2008, 09:41 PM yeah it will stay quiet as long as you have the factory scuba tank you can still here the diff though sounds nice its hush power i couldnt run the can i would scrape it everywhere

I've been avoiding speed bumps like the plague :nails:
coryjames 02-08-2008, 09:56 PM lol now take that and imagine your car as low as mine lol im scared of bumps with my front end lol
Cuthbert 02-08-2008, 10:12 PM Wow, that is way quieter then I was hoping for, especially with a header. I don't want it really loud, but that outputs almost no sound at all. Looks like as soon as I get mine on I will be making a trip to a shop to get that stock beast resonator taken off and smaller one put on.
coryjames 02-08-2008, 10:40 PM lol go trd with the strup header ftw
miketf1 02-09-2008, 12:59 AM It does have a very sastifying rumble while driving around town, and forgive the camera angle, it comes out striaght
thanks much for the reassurance. now this exhaust system is going on my list but i still want to hear how the tanabes sound.
on a side note, i guess the quiet-ness of this exhaust shows the ridiculous restrictions of the giant resonator
i like the deepish idle
but when reving it
it sounds weaker than stock
tahoepimp 02-09-2008, 09:40 PM I should have mine soon when I put it on ill post a sound clip also just to compare the sound could have just been the video. If its not strong enough whacking out that beefy resonstor. Any replacement you guys recommend that won't make it ricey

it sounds so much better when actually driving, now if I could just convince my wife to hang out the window with a camcorder
tahoepimp 02-09-2008, 10:01 PM Lol ill have mine put the seats down and sit in back with the hatch open don't want the windows to get dirty hehe

Glad to hear that, judging just by the video I was disappointed at first, but most exhausts sound different under normal driving conditions. Hopefully I will have mine sometime this week. I will also be getting that header sometime in the future.
cincinfocal 02-11-2008, 01:22 AM anyway you can take a shot of the whole back of the car...really curious what it looks like proportionally...
i think it sounds really really good. Then again...i've grown out of the boy racer look at me and a tone that doesn't sound like an actual car sound. I'll stick with this then an exhaust that droans you out of the vehicle.

X2, I just wished it didn't have the huge cannon muffler on it & something like an Apexi WS muffler.
Anyone have dynos sheets with the header/exhaust combo over stock?
Cuthbert 02-13-2008, 02:07 AM Well, just got my exhaust on a little while ago and I am satisfied with how it sounds for now. I can't really hear it over my intake, so it is hard to judge how loud it really is during normal driving. It will probably get slightly louder once it breaks in also. I will probably be leaving the stock resonator on until I get the header on later, then maybe I will swap out the midpipe/resonator.
If you can hear your intake over your exhaust than it must be really quiet.
Cuthbert 02-13-2008, 02:35 PM If you can hear your intake over your exhaust than it must be really quiet.
Well, the fujita gets pretty loud at wot/higher rpms, and the intake is obviously a lot closer to the driver then the exhaust is. On my tc I could hear my injen intake about the same as I could hear the injen exhaust, and the exhaust didn't really get loud until I added a header. I can hear the strup at idle/low rpms, its a very mellow tone but noticable. I will likely have the resonator replaced but im going to wait a bit.

So, I was checking with a few shops today about getting the middle resonator/cat replaced with a smaller one, none of the shops were willing to do it and they all told me the same thing, "we are licensed and that would make the car emissions illegal, we will not touch it until an aftermarket company makes a high flow cat for your vehicle and it is actually listed in their application guide". This was not just calling either, I drove to two of the shops and they got it up on the lift then told me this. The third shop asked for vehicle info and then gave me the same answer.
06scioxb 02-13-2008, 10:25 PM bring it to cali i have already taken it out and replaced it with 2.5" piping fron the s-pipe to axle back and intalled 2 resonators to make it have a nice tone not ricey at all my brother in law works at a muffler place and did a bolt on for me so if i ever get in trouble for it i just bolt everything back together

nah, I would rather just keep it clean and legal, especially if the only gain is more sound. if magnaflow or someone comes out with a high flow cat I will switch to that, but I will leave it stock for now.

You can try Black Canyon Mufflers. When they got my XB up on the lift they were ready to replace everything from the header back with straight pipe and a magnaflow muffler. And there was no mention of any emision concerns.
coryjames 02-13-2008, 11:28 PM hows this cut it yourself clamp it take it off the car have them weld it you put it on
Cuthbert 02-14-2008, 12:20 AM Well, getting it done isn't an issue, I know plenty of shops that only care about making money and will happily do it. I don't want to do it though because all of the reputable shops I talked to said not to do it due to emissions/etc, and that the only gain is going to be a louder exhaust, so there isn't much point. It sounds very nice and clean right now, so I will wait until I get the header and then look at my options.
