I dont know about any of you guys/girls, but my windshield is always killing bugs! The bugs are always on the damn thingy!

There where a lot of bugs on my windshield this summer, but little or none in the last month.

just make sure you have plenty of windshield washer fluid

yeah, Thank god for the colder weather!! I used to have to wash my car every 2-4 days from all the damn midges!!

I live in Alabama, about 100 yards from the lake. Bugs are everywhere! I wash my car atleast three times a week. The only way to keep them off is to not drive. :x

Yeah, there is this old manual car wash in my town that only cost $1 for 4 minutes. If you hurry you can wash and rinse in that time. It usually take me about $1.50 per wash so it's not that bad.

me too that is why i drive right through them..hahaha!!

4get the windshield, the lower lip of my front bumper is like a dead bug parade.

i live in arizona and we have more bugs every year... thank God it's getting colder now.

i never run the wipers - grit and glass don't mix. i pound the Rain-x for the glass and the wax for the rest of the front end. i dust the car and clean the glass every day. bug acid is hell on paint - esp. black.
i like the clear bra idea, but it's approx. $450 for the whole front end.
you know what we need is some Bug-x. hhmmmm.

Good question, I have the frint end mask. But sadly cannot tell you yes or no. It does kinda flips up, so I guess you could say that it could be a big defletor. But then again I have not been on any long trips with my Camo xB yet, so I cannot really comment as to if the mask deflects bugs.. I bought it with the same expectations you have, so lets just hope it does work as a deflector too. This is what I have to say to bugs...

You should see the one on my xB now. Looks like someone threw an egg at my car. I heard this loud nosie and said, what the fu%k! Looked at my windshield and this white clear stuff is running up my window. :x

I rarely get bugs here. Only on the highway, but even then, not that much. I only get really bad bug splats when I am driving in rural areas. I was driving up to PA a few months ago to visit some relatives and within a 30 minute period on I81 in Virginia, my windsheild hit so many bugs I was having a hard time seeing out of it in some spots. It was actually kind of funny though having to stop at a gas station merely to clean all the bugs off the window so I could see clearly.

Here's a tip to make bugs easier to remove: Liquid Pledge (I like the lemon smell). I use it on my bike windshield and the front of my BOX (front end and windshield). The bugs are much easier to remove because they dont stick. Just reaply when they start to stick! On long trips to shows saran wrap works on the bumper to keep the paint clean till you get there, then just peel it off. Sticks by static cling and air pressure.

I have a special spray that will keep bugs off the shield forever, just paypal me 20 bucks and its yours. :wink: :wink:

The pledge is mostly for the bumber paint and, NO it does not leave a funky haze. I use it all the time on my Motorcycle windshield, if it left a haze I wouldn't be able to see clearly. Try it ,if it doesn't work then don't use it. It makes it harder for the bugs to stick and easier to clean :!:

i think the best udea that ive heard is the seran wrap! thats awsome, wish i would have thought of that! :lol:
