Default Who Has Actually Braved the Winter Lowered?

I was just trying find out if anyone has gone through the Winter snow lowered? I know that the East coast just got the Xb this year. I've been thinking about lowering my box this past month. But I am really not sure with Winter right around the corner. :? The paint on the XB is so thin...I can imagine it being scrapped up by ice or packed snow. I park on the street so coming in and out of a parking space is going to be crazy.

If you ask me this question in a couple of months....I will be able to asnwer it... :D

But I dont think you will find that many people that had their XB's during winter...I know that there was only a small Snowstorm in March of this year and the car handled great but I was not lowered...I guess we will have to wait and see... :D

The xB was only out in california for the entire winter, but I got my xB on Feb 2 and didn't have any problems on snow at stock height.

I'm not lowered yet, but we just had our first major snow here in Denver... in the last two months I have broken 14,000 feet twice... snow was there once, but i have skied the past two weekends... and there was plenty of snow...

I am seriously close to lowering, so give me a month or so... I got other things I want to buy at the moment...

im lowered almost 2'' and will be braving the snow, not owrrying about the rockers and bumpers because I have a kit going on in the spring (thats my rationalzation for this)

If snow gets real bad I have my '96 4 wheel drive Geo Tracker in reserve. :D

But should be ok unless we get more than 6 inches of snow in one storm.

Chicago winters can be rough.

Well I ordered some Megan Lowering Springs yesterday, which claim to have a 2" drop. Hopefully I won't be too low. Unfortunately, my other car is a supercharged Grand Prix which is horrible in the snow. I might have to stock up on canned goods if gets too bad.

let us know how you like the springs, they are relatively untested. So, with the 2" drop you'll still have 4" clearence. No biggy. if there's >4" of snow on the road you should stay home with hot chocolate anyway

Yeah, but all it takes is a 5 inch tall ice chunk to ruin your day. Thanks for reminding me of one of the reasons I love California...

2 words: winter beater.
pick up a $200 chevy celebrity or something. that way it could be a 15 inch tall ice chunk and you still won't care.

I just missed a chance to by a winter beater . My brother-in-law was selling his Ford Escort Gt for $500. Another family member swept it up . Just as well...my wife was yapping about how we didn't need to have a third car
