This morning, I jumped into the deep end of a pool in street clothes to fish out a toddler that fell in. The scion key works fine after having been dunked under a couple of feet of water for at least thirty seconds. The cell phone died.

my keys fell in the toilet the other day while I was taking a ____. i took a coat hanger, latched on to the keys, flushed three times, and fished them out. they worked fine.

doesn't work like that. at least not my instinct. i worked as a lifeguard and swimming instructor in japan this year. and i made one rescue this summer. besides certain procedure you may or may not carry out because of the emergence of the situation, your body is just going to react. hell, i heard the cry for help, next thing i know, i was next to the kid.
