Default Turbonetics offering warranty covering Engine & Tranny

Lock me if this has already been posted. I've been down and out for a few days so I haven't been on the forums.

Direct from the e-mail they just sent me. I find it interesting.

Turbonetics Introduces 3 Year / 36,000 Mile Powertrain Warranty

Leading the way in turbo industry firsts, Turbonetics now offers a 3 yr./36,000 mi. powertrain warranty, covering the engine & transmission, with purchase of new turbo systems

Simi Valley, CA November 30, 2007 -- Continuing to offer its customers and distributors added benefits, Turbonetics now provides the opportunity to purchase peace of mind to go along with additional power. For only $295.00 consumers can receive a 3 year/36,000 mile powertrain warranty covering both the engine and transmission. Applicable to any forced induction "system or kit" that Turbonetics manufactures whether or gasoline or diesel powered.

"Turbonetics products are engineered and designed to be reliable while still delivering maximum performance" stated Jon Vieth, Turbonetics Director of Sales. "This warranty allows our customers to bolt-on Turbonetics forced induction performance parts with the knowledge that even if something should happen to their vehicle, they have the security of their engine and transmission repair costs being covered".

Good for any vehicles that are still currently covered under the factory warranty and have not exceeded the factory policy's limits. Turbonetics Powertrain Warranty applies to any vehicle 3 years or newer and having less than 36,000 miles, the coverage provides $3000.00 for engine costs and $2000.00 towards the transmission.

I guess they credit you 3 grand or something. I think this is turbonetics approach of trying to compete with other aftermarket companies that aren't as big as they are however are still yielding more sales in different aspects. Also trying to state how reliable they are & comfortable by giving this deal/opportunity.

3 Grand.... better be more like 8 grand (thats what it costs with labor and all. And I'm sure that its going to be just like the factory warranty, they will try and find any reason they can not to honor it. You'll probably have to provide documentation on every aspect of your install, tune, etc......

Ya if people think dealing with a warranty issue in person w/ Auto companies and insurance companies imagine what it will be like dealing with a company over the phone who can't even see the issue in person.
