Okay first of all, did you take it to the dealership? Second do you have any aftermarket parts added to the s/c, e.g. pulleys or an aftermarket belt, or check your tension pulley. You may need to also check the alignment of the pulley in correspondance to the others, if it off by a little it may be shredding it, or possibly thermay be a burr or a nick on a pulley somewhere. just my 2cents.

Okay, did it do it with the stock pulley? if so it could be an alignment issue, or a nick or burr on a pulley. If the new pulley is causing it, the dealership may void the warranty on the s/c, id put the stock pulley back on and see how it goes, if it keeps doin it, take it to the dealer. and let them deal with it.

Alignment of the belt on the pulleys can cause that. One of my idler pulleys and my alternator pulley was starting to rust, and the belt wasn't lined up on the idler pulley properly.

I had a friend at the dealership replace the idler pulley and put on an alternator and water pump pulley from NST. He also changed the shim to the s/c pulley which got everything lined up. No more squealing or shreds of the belt all over the engine bay.

Thats a good way to put it, but like i told you if you take it to the dealership, id put the stock pulley back on 1st, they could rule the new pulley as the problem and void the warranty, just to get out of paying for it. and to make them some money.

what if that new pully is the problem? if you take it off, and take the car to the dealer and they dont find anything, and you get the car back home.. install the pully again, and your belts keep shredding, who are you going to cus out?
