I actually want to take the plate off and mount it somewhere else on the front, but not sure how yet. 'Sides I don't care all that much. I drive it more than I see the front so having it there doesn't bother me.

You see alot of cars coming out with is sort of look. EvoX, Audi's, yours :wink: . I have this for the 2nd gen xB and will offer it on the tC as well :). I also make them for the 350z and 8th gen Civics.

All applications are similar in the tecnique in the way they are applied. The key is to work from the middle outward :wink:

I did mine in 3 vertical strips and for best results took the bumper off, but as Andy showed us - it's possible to do in one piece without removing the bumper. Props for the skill, definitely.

The current version of the bumper overlay on my car is actually two strips of vinyl. First time it was one whole piece then corrected to be 2 pieces :)

I want to see pictures of the tails Andy! I've gotten a lot of stares (good ones) driving around from other modded cars and Scions.

blue, im interested in the bumper/lip kits, but dont see any instructions for install on the link you have, just pics. i like to have a real good idea on the "how" part b4 i get to the "buy" part. im decent with lighting and what not, but this seems tricky. can you float the overlay on soapy water like tint or is it more like a sticker. i like being able to adjust it b4 i smooth it down. also, you mentioned a discount for a package deal. lower than the 75 for both?

Hey Bat, I was wondering if you had anything I could use to do the mirrors on my indigo ink tc. I'm also interested in anything you got for the front bumper....kinda apprehensive about the blue with black tho...any thoughts on this or a different color?

thats what i was wondering too... i figured it was just a simple peel and stick but i was worried more about the bubbles that would come up since it is such a big piece

I think it is a little more difficult than that...Even the vinyl master himself, RANDODE, wont cut these bumper overlays because its a pain in the a$$...I have asked him to cut mine for me and do the install and he won't touch it...So that's what keeps me wondering about Bat's overlays...It might be the type of material he's using?

i tried doing this myself when i first got the car. it was a big pain in the ___.. especially when you want EVERything to fit perfectly into each corner. ugh... i eventually gave up and wasted 30$ on vinyl

Agreed ... I had a friend who owns a custom shop do my vinyl front end ... It came out looking kickass, however 5 hours later, with serious heat gun work and we both Swore to never do this again ... it is a mother PITA.

Patience is the key to a good install. My installers have installed several of there :).

Patience, a good heat gun, patience, the understanding that is not for the first time DIY'er, patience, oh crap I messed it up, patience, need to order another one, patience, need to find someone who can install this properly.

Yes, this seems easy but these bumpers have very complicated curves that the vinyl does not like. It will take heat and stretching to get the desired look and then a little patience to get the vinyl to sit without air bubbles ..

So be willing to buy more than one kit if you have no experience applying vinyl.

hey bat i have a tc and im interested in blue vinyl covers for my vrd/apt fogs, do you have any pics of how they look, im also interested in flint mica or carbon fiber eyelids, how would i go about ordering these

mine came quickly but was almost literally completely flattened due to the shipping company. it wouldnt lay out on the ends and the wrinkles/creases only came out with heat on the top/bottoms around the middle. the ends/sides are fubared. i dunno wtf the shipping company did but i would say play baseball or something with the package.

anyways i emailed bat about it, hopefully i can get another set... :crossesfingers:
