As the New Year comes around, we all think ahead, "What to do to my car now?"
What's the one thing that you wanna do to your Box for the new year ahead?
Mine is to install some red underbody LED lighting...
Maybe downgrade to some 17" wheels too?

What's yours???

We're getting leather in my wife's 06 BOP and hopefully intake and exhaust on my 06.5 PW. And, since she has my 17's and I'm running steelies for the winter, somebody's gonna get new shoes in the spring.

Hmm...this is a tough question...the order will be

1. New System (deck, amps, subwoofers, speakers)

2. More Lighting (underbody, l.e.d.s where I can put em)

3. Body kit (Grason D.A.D.)

4. Anything else that comes to mind.

Thanks Will... and to answer your question, esams and tint will definitely be on there by Scrapin'...i am doing some research on the kenstyle kit, seeing how the fitment is on the authentic kit because thats the one i am going with...hopefully i will unveil that at Scrapin...

as for the turbo, there will be a lot more research going into it, and i am not just going to have anyone install it, i might head to south carolina this summer and have it installed at The Show Zone cuz they do some great work.

So when are you going to get the second box???

So when are you going to get the second box??? Dane, i believe the fitment on the Kenstyle lip kit is awesome. i say this because in Japan, quite a few dealers have it as an option for their cars. and what authentic Japanese bodykit/ lipkit do you know of that fits like poo? :P

Maybe downgrade to some 17" wheels too?

What's yours???

What do you mean by "downgrade to some 17" wheels? From 18-17" , or quality of wheel downgrade? Personally, IMHO a nice 16" or 17" wheel looks nice on a xB ... and if your aim is lightweight ... go with a nice 15".

For the new year, some things are already in work.

1) Custom FFF using a stock shaved grill and EZ-Baked polyurethane eyelids, finishing the bodywork filling now, paint in the next two weeks. Leov, I have a thread running on this and will be posting more pics, hit me up.

2) Custom spearbox and amp racks. Casted the back side of the box in fiberglass, re-enforcing it now and then will fleece the front and glass.

3) Ny-Trex nitrous system, already supercharged so maybe only a 25 shot.

4) Rear wheel well half-covers, doing like an old Caddy or Lincoln.

Hope the divorce goes ok-went through one once and they said I was in a depression even though I didn't know it. Keep close with good friends or good family if you can.

As far as the bB-it's becoming more bB-ish-emblems coming.

Lots of little things (head unit and rear sway bar are only big things planned).

I want to do the bB emblem in the dash, blue-out my a/c controls, maybe a custom speedo background, white out corners (maybe blue bulbs), new shift knob, maybe new pedal covers and new floor mats once the weather dries out (mine are trashed-driver's at least), EBC brake pads, blue underbody lights(?), roof rack, maybe a header, blue Konig wheel caps...

guess I am going to have a blue themed year!

it is expensive (paid $270) but it is well worth it...and i dont have to worry about hydrolock anymore with these crappy biloxi roads...i mean i live 2 blocks from the ocean and 2 blocks from the bay, if it rains the roads flood pretty bad

1st, get a new grill, which i already ordered, just waiting for it in the mail
2nd, get HIDs, which i also already ordered
3rd, get my new rims on this spring

so technically ive purchased all the stuff, i just need to install it. As far as new things go, i really have no idea. Im thinking about a drop, but dont know if it will be annoying driving with something low.

Metro273

do you have one? Im just debating on if it is worth it or not. I think i might have a rough time getting in and out of my driveway. Also, i would be worried about scraping while driving in general. Any suggestions on springs? I can get the TRD lowering springs for 210 from the dealership my dad works at, not installed mind you. I might ask for that or neons for my birthday this march. A 1.5" drop with my new 17s would hopefully work well

daneisthegreatest
01-11-2008, 07:17 AM
i have skunk2 springs on my box, paid 160 shipped for them and the ride height is great...

i wish i would have gone with Tanable DF210's but i didnt know about them at the time...but dont worry, springs are not gonna lower you a ton (unless your name is gothbox)...the ride will still be pretty good, and the looks will be wonderful...

greybox
01-11-2008, 04:44 PM
I installed the Vogtlands I got and the ride is actually better than stock. They lowered it 40 mm (so 1.6 inches-maybe a little more) and it seems to be a really good mix. Just for looks I would have gone another 1/2 inch lower or more but this is my everyday and all weather car-I'm really happy with everything about these springs.

1 - im going to get the interior detailed. there is dust all over the place and i dont know how to get rid of it. and yes, i have the cabin filter.

2 - gotta get the brakes done i think. i replaced the pads at 14k, but the dealer told me i had to do something with the rears in a few months - i dont know what it was. anyway, gona get that taken care of as well.

3 - i installed cathodes in the front footwells... i should do the rears as well... maybe i'll do that....

im trying to keep my box as stock as possible (read: I'm cheap as hell!)

Oh, Jeff, sorry I missed your post. Kathleen's BOP came with scuffed wheelcovers so I've just been running her black steelies and lugnuts. Not so hot. I did run into an older couple that came to my work the other day with an identical PW . I talked to them for a while and they said after they saw mine they hoped they would still have their wheelcovers when they got back to their car. OUCH. Am I slumming it? :eyebrow: BTW their plate read "MI SUV"
