Default Black Rear Scion Emblem

Anyone know how to smoke the rear scion emblem? Anyone got a DIY? I'm too scared to experiment myself

I am planning on doing the front and the back. I was going to clean it, sand it (500 grit), and then have my friend spray it with a paint gun. Just did my hub caps and they turned out awesome (just for the winter and then spring on go the rims)

You can do it with a spray can and it will look great! I have done twenty on all kinds of cars (just remove and sanded)

Be aware there is a little surprise for you on the rear on the '08. There are two holes in the hatch with pins on the emblem.
There are a couple of threads about it around here. Here is one:

@ booosty:
I like it. Especially the rear on the SW.

Haha, I didn't even try to color match the front, it just happened to be that way
For the black, I used Krylon Glossy Black Interior-Exterior spray paint
For the clearcoats I used Krylon Crystal Clear - CLear Satin Finish

I am planning to use the same paint/clearcoat to do my headlights next

Go out to your local automotive store and pick up some 3M doublesided adhesive tape. It comes in a roll and is a couple mm thick. clean off the back of the emblem and the spot on the car. You'll have to cut the tape to match the shape of the emblem. It's a little bit of work, but I've used it countless times in the past and none of my emblems have ever fallen off. It's basically the same stuff that was on there before, only you have to cut it to the correct shape.
