Is there a fabricator out there that can make these? These are the only photos I could find. The ones in the photos are made by Damd. It'll be costly in time, money and favors for me to get them shipped here. I'll be checking with a local guy here tommorow. But, I thought I'd post here first. You could start with a set of fender flares and some metal sheeting and go from there.

They look pretty easy to make for me. Being I'm a sculptor by trade for a Entertainment company and have a full staff shop. Only thing is, I have no time. I have no time for many of my own projects. :x

You know I never really thought about making them.... but now that I look at it I could make them when I get some free time. I might make it out of wood before I go with metal just to see if its even worth me spending the money on more sheet metal.


And of course they are going to have to bolt up to the stock holes inside the fenderwell.

I'll talk to my buddy when he gets back from SEMA on sat. and let you know if we will make it. He's designed some other new xB parts and is going to sell those, but we might have some extra time to fab up a few sets of these. PM me if you want more info.

how much would these cost and how low would they be?
They definatly should go lower than those in the pics (just my 2 cents).
They should go all the wat to the side skirt that would look sick.

Looks like a cross between the PT Cruiser fenders and the Honda Insight's Fender Skirts.

I'll know more about the product if we would even make it once my buddy gets back. I'm sure that if we do make it, there will be a couple variations.

The thing Jesse James uses that I think you are referring to is an english wheel. Not really needed for this. Easiest way to do it is to form some from fiberglass, it will be better than sheetmetal for the job anyway (sheetmetal is gonna start rustin from trapping gunk up in there)

Not my thing but if you want to make them, and you don't have much money but you have time:

Get a block of dow corning styrofoam insulation. Glue 2 sheets together if you have to.
form it to shape with a "cheesegrater"
cover it in drywall mud (sands easier than bondo)
spray it all with WATERBASED primer (very important- don't "eat" your buck)
Wax it (mold release)
Lay fiberglass
Remove
Wallah! you have a mold.
Fire up production and sell them to those "Lots" that want them.

I made an entire SAE formula car body in college using this method. Time consuming but cheap and it works.
