Anyone running one? If so, what's your setup?

I saw a TRD one at the Scion Scenic Rally in SF back in the summer, now the only reason I say it was TRD is because thats what it said on it, looked kinda like a prototype, so not sure if its been marketed yet, but looked pretty sick! I should have taken a pic

I believe there were two different setups that had the TRD badging on them, one a front mount, another a water-to-air intercooler or powercooler. Both were show cars. None are planned to be released.

Water to air would be a good option if it didn't cost as much as the supercharger. An affordable option that has produced great results is a water/methanol injection kit.

FMIC is not efficient on a s/c'd setup, you'd end up losing some power. water-air i/c is a better option, but many s/c'd tc's go with meth injection as a way to cool.

where can a meth kit be ordered?

s/c ic = loss of boost...

def meth injection, especially for the kind of racing you do Dan

hey Dan on a stock s/c setup its not really worth it.. the meth is probably a better way out.. how ever.. if you upgrade the pulley to a smaller one to build more boost then an FMIC would be of better use...stock s/c's just dont make the power enough to sufice using an fmic,, if you add more boost then yea its workable.

Thanks for all the replies!

actually it hurts even with the lighter pulley. Someone on here had the 12 psi pulley and the FMIC and was only putting down 9.5 psi

buddha's right, you'd have to be pushing lots of boost in order for a FMIC to be efficient on a s/c setup.

thanks i needed the same info too as i will be s/c soon and was thinking of the same idea

I have a custom bell front mount intercooler and it is very efficient. But on the other hand water and meth is fine too.
