I should have taken a pic imsonofagun 12-27-2007, 03:17 AM I believe there were two different setups that had the TRD badging on them, one a front mount, another a water-to-air intercooler or powercooler. Both were show cars. None are planned to be released. Water to air would be a good option if it didn't cost as much as the supercharger. An affordable option that has produced great results is a water/methanol injection kit. 05-RS1 12-27-2007, 03:46 AM FMIC is not efficient on a s/c'd setup, you'd end up losing some power. water-air i/c is a better option, but many s/c'd tc's go with meth injection as a way to cool. athletefeet66 12-27-2007, 07:48 AM where can a meth kit be ordered? paul_dezod 12-27-2007, 02:02 PM where can a meth kit be ordered? http://www.dezod.com/pd_aem_water_injection_system_universal.cfm :P Don, I have some ideas. Whenever your ready! BuddhasTC 12-27-2007, 03:31 PM s/c ic = loss of boost... def meth injection, especially for the kind of racing you do Dan TCpete 12-27-2007, 03:37 PM hey Dan on a stock s/c setup its not really worth it.. the meth is probably a better way out.. how ever.. if you upgrade the pulley to a smaller one to build more boost then an FMIC would be of better use...stock s/c's just dont make the power enough to sufice using an fmic,, if you add more boost then yea its workable. adg016 12-27-2007, 04:28 PM Thanks for all the replies! BuddhasTC 12-27-2007, 08:26 PM actually it hurts even with the lighter pulley. Someone on here had the 12 psi pulley and the FMIC and was only putting down 9.5 psi 05-RS1 12-28-2007, 12:44 AM buddha's right, you'd have to be pushing lots of boost in order for a FMIC to be efficient on a s/c setup. NA_TC_817 12-28-2007, 10:10 PM thanks i needed the same info too as i will be s/c soon and was thinking of the same idea eminence 12-29-2007, 10:56 PM I have a custom bell front mount intercooler and it is very efficient. But on the other hand water and meth is fine too. |
