View Full Version : xA easy street bag setup? scionxAchic 12-29-2007, 12:25 AM will an xa lay the frame rails with easy street struts up front and some convoluted bags with bag brackets for the rear? TerribleTed 12-29-2007, 12:53 AM Nope. The xA setup is essentially the same as the xB setup. With it fully deflated you will be close to the ground but not on the ground. When I fully air out my xB (easy street front and rear installed per the manual) the closest point to the ground with a stock lip is 1 1/2 inchs or so. The underbody (frame really doesnt apply here) is mostly 3 or more inches off the ground. Further modification to the car and suspension is necessary to lay the underbody on the ground. A guy in our club "Bagnasty"has an xA that lays underbody. He did extensive modifications to attain this attitude. Check out his profile http://www.scionlife.com/profile/BagNasty . scionxAchic 12-29-2007, 12:58 AM oh :( thanks, I really like that one. scionxAchic 12-29-2007, 07:30 AM if u remove the sway bar, would the front lay on 17's? TerribleTed 12-29-2007, 11:15 PM No scionxAchic 12-30-2007, 12:16 AM do you know what other kind of work would need to be done for the front atleast? TerribleTed 12-30-2007, 02:03 PM If the strut mounting was moved up in the car a couple inches and the sway bar removed you might get there. That would involve cutting out the strut towers and welding them back in higher up in the car. A taller front front bumper assembly can give the appearance of being lower. The lip on my xB just barely touches the ground when I am aired out. It is about 1.75 inches taller than the stock lip, so it starts out 1.75 inches closer to the ground. |
