Does anyone know where I can find an aftermarket shift knob for an automatic xD?

I did a little Internet scavenger hunt and came up with nearly nothing for an automatic.

Many of the manual shift knobs can easily be fabricated to fit an automatic. I did that for my tC.

I was wondering about that. When you say "can easily be fabricated to fit", just what does that involve? I know it may depend on the knob but I was wondering if it's just as simple as screwing it on the shift lever?

Thanks,

I just got a kick ___ new shiftknob (skull) for my auto, just make sure that what ever you get has a 8mm insert. its a 12mm for a 5speed and ask for a jam nut.

Not sure, but I think we can use knobs that say "for manual" because we automatics don't have those locking buttons. :eyebrow:

You can drop any knob on the xD that has the proper size threading (8mm), however if it's built for a manual you have to be careful because those will generally flare OUT at the bottom to match the shift boot as opposed to flaring IN to match the automatic's shaft. Some knobs (such as the accessory ones for the tC) will have both options.
