i dont drive my B in bad weather so i want 2 take the rear wiper out. Anybody got any advice before i break somthing

put the cap up...get a 10 mm socket screw off...then pull it off. Replace with something of your choice. I have a smiley face :lol:

many do...thats cool I need something different though. Too many people have that and im not feeling the smiley face no more.

Keep the gasket and put a nickle. not a bad replacement for only .05

Screw the JDM cap, just find a suitable cover at home depot and have it painted at a local body shop. It'll probably end up being cheaper anyway. If memory serves they come in chrome, so you could just floss the bling and save a boatload.

The possible hole fillers I have heard of or seen:

Video cam (best use, IMO)
Nickel or quarter
valve stem for a wheel - stick the big rubber part facing out, the stem hidden inside.
JDM covers - would probably buy one if someone could actually produce one.
Generic hardware store covers - haven't seen anything that would look nice so far, and I always shop looking for modding supplies and equipment.

I finally got fed up with waxing around the arm and took it off. I would really like to find the right plug and strip the rest of it out too.

Until then, I'm running the T-Rex tail:
(and it wags when i turn on the rear wiper :wink: )

im rockin the fist for now, I am in the works of making a cover that will go over that rubber gasket to give it a clean look..Once it completed I will post pics and a how-to im probably a day or 2 from finishing it.,..

Hit up your local scion dealer. If they don't have one, post a thread in the classifieds, I'm sure someone would sell you one for <$5.

Just a personal preference, but if you're gonna remove the wiper, then the Scion badge should go too.

Hey guys im glad to hear that some of you like my mod. I'll give you the brief low down. And you will like the part number. Here it is.. :rofl:

Ok go to the hardware and buy a 3/8 inch carriage bolt (1 1/2 inch long should do it)
remove the rear panel on the door. Remove the three bolts that hold wiper motor onto door. Remove the wiper motor, but leave the rubber plug in rear door.

Now take the carriage bolt and file the letters of the end so it is smooth and then prime it. Then paint it black or gloss black (your preference)

Put bolt through the rubber and install a washer on the back with nut. This will compress the rubber and the bolt head being the right size will seal out water.

Hope you like my cheap, Yet quality fix.........
