Default tC '07 sales 63,852 compered to 79,125 in '06

Toyota announced '07 sales today with a significant decline for the tC. Will that motivate them to debut the next generation tC for the 2009 model year?

Here is a link to their sales press releases: http://pressroom.toyota.com/Releases...s_result&st=kw

I think that's normal.
The model IS old by today's standards.
A new tC is not doubt coming, and needed - as long as they don't fugg it up totally.
I don't see anything there that's bad news, just time to refresh the tC!

that would be awesome, do you think it would be the concept.
I would diff have to do a trade in for it.

Auto sales were down across the board, it is not just specific to tCs. Believe it or not, the complete meltdown in the subprime lending market and the huge hit banks have been taking affects many different industries. People are more concerned about scraping enough money together to afford their mortgage payments than buying a car, even an affordable car like a tC. Sorry, rant.

Well, according to the politicians in office, our economy is doing great. So there you go, you have nothing to worry about.

Exactly! Thats what the "economiologists" (from Frank Caliendo) are saying.
Aside from the current economic state, people usually lose interest in a car after a couple of years of its running in the market and that is usually more true about coupes (when the "got to have it" factor has died down).

I thought the intention of Toyota was to sell less tCs this because they don't want the Scion brand to saturate the market too much and lose its "cool" factor...

I think that is true. When I had my oil changed. I got concerned bout seeing 20 xB2's and 6 xD's and no tC's. I asked my dealer why? He said the reason is that there are too many xB's the sales fluctuates. The tC's are always gone right away and they are not getting tC's in their lot until after 6 weeks. The reason he said is that Scion want's to keep the Scion brand low key so you dont see tons of them around in an Area. Except for Cali I guess

true-- car sales are lowest in almost 10 years-- "Automakers sold 16.1 million new vehicles last year, fewest since 15.6 million in 1998, according to sales tracker Autodata....Car companies said buyers have been put off because it is harder and more expensive to borrow, and because they are worried about their financial health as home values fall."-USA TODAY
