Dam..never seen that happen, you can have it powder coated or jet hotted. You could paint it yourself, but if you do not do it right, you;ll be back to square one.
Take a wire brush to it and sand paper to remove the rust. Then send it to JetHot for their high temp coating. Or you can get by with high temp paint from checker. Get the stuff that is good for up to 1200 degrees. Its called Dupli color High heat:

i did that to my valve cover, and it stayed shiny for a little bit.
do you think i have to disconnect my negative terminal on my battery do do the fix?
since im taking the o2 sensor off.
I am in the same situation. I have a Megan stainless header and I noticed that it is beginning to rust. But because mine is stainless, is there anyway to get rid of the rust but still remain the stainless steal shine?

read the honda tech article above, Im doing that except im ceramic coating mine with header paint. It's gonna suck its 30 degrees now and i don't get off work untill 6pm.
And i gotta do it out side.
no you sandit downand get the rust off and wash it dry it. Then you rub aluminum polish to bring it to a shine. i just tookoff my header. Its 9pm and 30 some degrees out. I'll try and take some pics. Wish me luck,Hopefully i didn't screw up my o2 sensor.
yes but i screwed up. i think i put too much paint on it. I baked it in my oven like the can said, For two hours. It was like 19 degrees out today, I installed it and started the car. Then te bi*#@ started smoking and small bubbles every where
i was like wtf? I took it back off and put my stock manifold on.
Im gonna try it again, This time im gonna use light coats. and bake it longer. I'll probaly wait till next weekend tho. Im waiting on a quote from jet hot hopefully it isnt much.
