I have ordered 3 or 4 sets from cliff and almost always 2 days

 

I ordered the 4300k. My XB is 3 weeks old, and I have been on this site since then, looking at the posts about diff. hues of color. Hey BZinn1, where do you live?

 

4300 is perfect. with 6000 or 8000 you lose a lot of usable light when it rains. I originally had the 6000k and had a hard time seeing in the rain.

Cliff's kits are super easy to install and should only take you about 30 minutes to do it right.

 

i was thinking about getting some but dang 2 something for them is well out of my price range. for 2 something i could get some out side mods. LOL but i wish i had them after brian was blinding me on the way to beaverton for PDXMAS LOL

 

Brad, cliff had them on sale for 140 shipped, but you would want to get a set of projectors to go with them.

You don't "need" projectors, but it's recommended as to cut down on the glare to other drivers.

i got 2 kits from cliff, and they both came in less than a week. also, not all projectors are good. actually most aftermarket ones kinda suck, so you might want to think of retrofitting.

 

I have 8000k and I LOVE mine!!!!

 

We've ordered from them twice and both arrived in 3 days.

 

I live in University Place.........over by the Narrows Bridges........happy to help I get bored and would love to check out a new xB2.

4300k should work well in them........

I should be getting HIDs, soon,... and retrofitting my headlights.

They'll be 8000k, so pretty and bright. :D

Actually 8,000k will look kinda purple which with your car may look cool but the 4,300-6,000 will give you the brightest light. 6,000 will look kinda blue.

As for driving I have 6,000 in both cars and they beat stock and the PIAA lights I have used in the past.

There is no retrofit needed for them to fit into the headlight housing. You will need to mount tow ballasts for a little box to sit in. I still need to do that on both our cars, maybe this summer. Mine are currently zip tied in place got to fix that one of these days.

 

No retrofit is needed to mount them, but it is needed to cut down on glare and have more useable light output.

I want to retrofit it so it doesn't flood. I get annoyed when cars flood their lights. Are you sure 8000k is purple-ish? My boyfriend has 8000k and it's sorta purple-ish when he turns them on, then they turn a little blue-ish, but it's mainly just a really bright light.
