Default MAJOR PROBLEM

I went to pull out at a stop sign today and i hear CLUNK. It felt like the motor fell out. So i get out pop the hood and everything looks fine. I looked underneeth and see a puddle of tranny fluid with some scraps laying around? HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD ANY TRANNY PROBLEMS? Will the dealership cover this under warrenty?

damn that sucks. sorry to hear that bro. Dealer will cover that under warranty as long as you didn't hit anything that caused the damage.

I haven't had any tranny issues and haven't heard of any.

Keep us updated on what exactly happened and what the dealer is doing about it.

Sounds like something inside that transmission was having a rough day.

You should be covered, if you're being truthful to us, and not actually launching the hell out of your car.

Well, if the turbo caused the damage then that's not going to be warrantable- obviously-

and stripping it won't necessarily cause the technicians at the dealer to automatically cover it under warranty. just an fyi.

Turbo probably means no warranty because you put in more power then it was designed to handle stock.

yea but a stage 0 would be putting out 250~

and a manual transmission should be bale to take that.

uness he's automatic. then it sucks.

yes it should. i think that it was a defective transmission and it didnt really have anything to do with the fact there was a small turbo package on the car.

I don't think the dealer will care how much he is putting down they will just see the turbo and say that is the cause and deny repairs under warranty. If it was only putting down what the TRD supercharger was then he may have a case but would have to fight for it.

First off .. its a manual.. second off.. car still starts so it wasnt the flywheel, Still feels like i have a clutch pedal, so it wasnt the clutch, There is a hole in the botton of the tranny about 3 inches in diameter so whatever broke, exploded. The tranny fuild came out completely black so whatever wrong has been wrong for a while. Car only has 25k miles on it. And i work at a dealership so i know what to do to make it not look likt it was altered. Itll be about a week until i get it stripped and to the dealership. If anyone has any idea, let me know.

Won't the people you work with know your car is turbo'd?

Sounds like you exploded the diff...

See you first said that you were stopped and just heard a clunk. The diff cannot explode when your just sitting so your not telling us the truth..

Then you said.... Umm i wasnt running it hard and didnt do anything wrong. Just pulled out normal. Turbo wasnt even close to spooling.

In all honesty, sounds like you have launched the crap out of your car on many occasions and this time you launched it, it decided to give up the ghost. I would not rip the dealer off, you modified your car performance wise, killed a tranny so just own up to it, buy a junkyard tranny and go on with life.
