View Full Version : How you guys think? My NKB Lava with poor PS Moon disc....
OB936 11-08-2004, 02:57 AM I really have hard time to decide what wheels to put on my Orange box, Now I kind like the idea of moon disk hubcap..........so maybe you guys can give me some ideas.
It has NKB full kit already (thanks to David @ Memoryfab :D), and will be lowered with Tein S-tech very soon.

Scott17 11-08-2004, 03:00 AM Very unique look, but I like it!
az_pinoy 11-08-2004, 03:01 AM kit = awesome...but doesn't blend well with moon discs ;)
...now going with the NKB cups would definately complete the Euro Sporty look :D

Max2k 11-08-2004, 03:07 AM Best bodykit I've seen. The photoshop on the moon disks is kind of crude, but if you're going to drop the cash on a nice bodykit you might as well go all out and get some 16x8 dish rims to complete the look.
TheDanger 11-08-2004, 03:14 AM need to drop it fast...I want that kit so bad. Also you gotta put some deep dish mesh wheels on it to complete the look after the drop.
stankubrick 11-08-2004, 03:15 AM Might as well go all the way. Get the any of the NKB wheels in 16x9! I think it would look really good dropped 3" too...

the mesh or the cups would finish it off nicely :D

what he said, dont kill the kit with moons!!!
squirrel 11-08-2004, 03:26 AM Did the kit require any mods to the bumper bars/supports?
OB936 11-08-2004, 03:27 AM 16x9 NKB cup will definitely be my first choice, but since I am in the stage to start a new business so $$$ is really a concern now ($1100 + new tires). However, I am looking for something cheap and still looks good....at least i have something to cover the ugly steel wheels.....
Jeff_Chicago 11-08-2004, 03:30 AM Those moons need to be Eclipsed!

I second his question......sOoo?
OB936 11-08-2004, 03:37 AM the NKB kit is a direct bolt on, at least this is what the body shop guy told me.
stankubrick 11-08-2004, 04:29 AM Did you get the NKB badge for the back? :D

For the euro style, check VWvortex forums for used deals. Brand new, I think you can get a set of Schmidts for aroun $1100... I think. Check out Tunershop.com...I like these:

Those are HOT!!! does anyone have a pic with those on a box? I would really love to get a set of those for the box not sure what they would look like in 15 and 16 inch.
squirrel 11-08-2004, 04:00 PM the NKB kit is a direct bolt on, at least this is what the body shop guy told me.
Thanks for the reply. Also, is the kit fibreglass, ABS, or polyglass (or whatever its called)?
squirrel 11-08-2004, 04:02 PM And Dave (toy xbox) has them also. Ken (NCP31) was going to run his moons at Exposed (back in February) if his mesh rims weren't painted in time.
SweetDaddyDelicious 11-08-2004, 06:39 PM Moons are sweet, cheap, and old skool. Look at all the insane money people drop on modding out a lead sled Merc and still the best way to complete it is Full Moon's. That body kit is the tightest I've seen. Clean without being overdone. That kit with shaved handles and no graphics would Sick. The euro plate is kind of funny, but the shape fits the lines well.
sorry to get alittle of topic here. but where can i get those vent visors, simliar to the ones on the nkb ride?

Hand laid fibreglass
Also, it's possible to get the front, back and side separately if you want.
SweetDaddyDelicious 11-09-2004, 12:03 AM Nice E-36 too! Couple nice rides you got there.
lavabox 11-09-2004, 03:40 AM I think this may be it!! Tinted front windows, lowered, cleared headlights, and those suggested wheels.....

hotbox05 11-09-2004, 03:59 AM i love tha body-kit but not the moons
excel_xb 11-09-2004, 04:27 AM man that kit is pretty. thats the first time ive seen a real picture of it. How much did it run you?
its_ikon 11-09-2004, 04:58 AM that is just screaming for a lip
OB936 11-09-2004, 07:35 AM lavabox,
thanks a lot for the PS skills!!! I am really thinking to get the front window tinted now...

So this is the lucky guy that got the last NKB xA Kit this month. Thomas @ Scion Mag is a real cool cat :P No modifications for both kits is needed. The kits were made especially for US Scions.
It is good to also see the xB Kit finally on! Time to get those coilovers and wheels over here, I'll do some great deals as a package for any returning customers
