you got a million bills... yet you're looking to further add on to that by getting a loan... hmm.. sounds like you might not get a very good interest rate, depending on your credit.

sure this is a wise financial decision there?
but honestly the bank would be your safest bet.

i would say wait until you have some other bills paid off before you get a loan for, what is essentially, a 6 thousand dollar toy....

i would save up for it...feels better that way too :D

i have wanted a turbo since the day i was born, but my financial situation has never alowed for it without breaking the bank!

x2. But how bout credit card? Remember being able to buy is sometimes different from being able to afford, balance things and think hard about it..

Like other people have said.. don't mod your car if you struggle to pay your bills without them. Save your money.

If you have a lot of bills right now the last thing I would recommend you to do is add another one to the equation. Being boosted required a lot of attention and money to maintain. If you do end up take out a loan for the kit, , I would suggest that you get enough to cover the cost of the kit, installation, tune and *atleast* $1.5k on top of that to cover yourself down the road so you won't have to take out another loan if/when your car has problems down the road.

The best course of action for you at this time would to eliminate some of your bills and save up some cash before diving in to a forced induction setup that may [will] void your warranty.

Don't be one of those people that boosts and breaks their car, restore it to factory, and try to get it fixed under warranty.

+1

Bill first - always. However if you really want it, then save. Put like 25, 50, or even 75 away every paycheck for that one thing you want. Sure it will take some time, but hey - your car isn't going anywhere is it?

Also, not to give financial advice, but if you have so many bills then find out if you actually _need_ all the things you are paying for. I did this and trust me when I say...it helps a lot...

Thanks everyone... I was doing some math... People keep telling me to save. Ok I put 30k on my car in 1 year. Math time at that rate. I say I need about 6,500 for a complete turbo kit, install, tune, etc. So at 25 bux a week that would take me 5 years and I would have 180,000 miles on my car. If i save 50 bux a week it would take 2 and a half years and i would have 105,000 miles on my car. If i save 75 bux a week it would take 1 year and 8 months and i would have 80,000 miles on my car. The responsible side of me tells me to listen and pay off my bills. But then theres the side of me thats says you know what you only live once and if I wait to long it will never happen. I want to put a kit on now while my mileage is still pretty low. I dont know what to do.. But thanks everyone for the advice. Unfortunately my girlfriend agrees with you guys. LOL. Ill never be boosted.

Put it this way - all that money that you would put in your car, you could buy a newer scion when the time comes

However _little_ things here and there won't hurt...

When I had my mustang, I gave myself a set limit of 1500 for mods. Anything else I would not do. So I did HIDs, ram air, hand held tuner, and exhaust. Then I traded the car in for the scion. Did I loose money, Yes! Was it worth it the 1500? Yes! Would I put anymore into it, No!

not saying not to get the loan. Pay off the small bills faster and pay the minimum on the others for now. Untill you get those small ones paid off you'll have more money to throw down on those other big bills. When you feel like you have extra money to pay your loan (giving that they give you the loan and you pay some bills off) it would be easier. You alway need to have extra money just incase something breaks on your build? You dont want to pile another big bill on top of you million other ones? 6k will probally be around $200+/month depending on rate and term. Good Luck!
