Default New Scion xB RS01 Owner with questions! HELP!

Hey guy/gals one of the first questions i have is if the stock bulbs for the cup holder and floor board can be changed with a changing multicolor bulb. and if so how would the stock "illumination" button fit into the idea?

did you mean to say
"If ther is a WILL there is a way"?

I dont know how the stock illumination is, I did all mine myself.
You can change out the cupholder LED with a color changing one.
The way I am doing mine is with an RGB LED connected to a contoller card.
I've got my Grab handles fabbed up, I just have to install them. Then I'm doing the cup holders.
Right now my cup holders are white LED's and I have Blue Cathodes under the dash and seats.

The RS4 has the multicolor changing lights in it, not sure exactly how that works though but if scion did it from the factory it can be done.

First of all, congrats on the new box!

And yes, odds are it would be as simple as replacing the led... however, using that method, you wouldn't be able to control the colors, it would just cycle.

You might be better off wiring something completely custom.

^ Yes, but I'd be willing to bet that the single color switch is just an on off... not one that would cycle colors.

And Slim... please... capslock... turn it off.

Right, but that's for the multicolor kit offered on the RS4.0

It's gotta be different... but who knows. Someone's gotta try it first.

Its an LED cluster not a bulb so if you can find the LED cluster from the RS 4.0 then you can have it done. I have the blue ones from Scion and I installed them myself. Another question, how do you mount the light bar for under the dash? I just can't seem to get the mounting points right!

Zip ties work best...thats what i used on my tC and i knwo the majority of dealers use them when installing the cathodes.

My 05 camo has color changing leds in the cup holders. They can rotate through the colors or stay steady on any one that you choose. It came from the dealer like that so im sure they sell a multi color kit which you could just put in place of the single color you have.
