showpaojoe 01-07-2004, 01:06 AM u must have mad cash for a 2.5" drop
proto_k7 01-07-2004, 01:23 AM For 2.5 and some quality homie....Dampening, camber, and the design. These guys know whats happening..
Call me a label whore, I want the dope ____.
I am getting them for 1300 roughly from Dynamic in Lake forest California.
Eric M is pretty familiar with these guys-

I couldnt roll springs, not my style. too much of a bounce...
I think its pretty funny when I see a decent looking car rollin through intersections with everybody bouncin out there seats.
If the box cant get any faster it may as well squat and turn like a mofo-
bBted 01-07-2004, 01:49 AM wow...adjustable depening... 8)

JIC Magic is teh h0t siht!!
proto_k7 01-07-2004, 04:07 AM wow...adjustable depening... 8)
camber plates and pillow ball mounts too..... :D
quadoptix 01-07-2004, 05:16 AM congrats on the JIC's, is there any specific reason why you went w/ jic? Just wondering, as cusco and tein are available. I have been in cars w/ all types of real coilover suspension sets, for me, i like the cusco, it maybe a bit harsh, but handles sick. Jic is very nice too.
hahajoey 01-07-2004, 07:25 AM i remember someone telling me JIC was like tenzo-r in japan.
i could be wrong.. i never had JIC...
but i know cusco has a 4" drop and they for 1200 a set..
hks is badass...
tein's a weenie drop but good for the price.. i think 750 or so..
1300 bucks for jic.. wow..
just a quick question. whats the lowest setting u can in rear?
is it like the tein setup in the rear?
i like how camber plates come with it.. thats badass.
bBted 01-07-2004, 09:43 AM i think it can go lower than tein wagon coilovers...1.7" right?
cusco go from 2.2-4" ?? heard they can adjust depening
personally i wouldnt think jic=japanese tenzo-r, jdm parts have their quality...
it looks great from their website

ALL coilover setups will "be like the Teins in the rear" because of the rear axle beam design. It's forced to use an adjustable spring in the rear.
Oh yea, Cusco has dampening and camber plates included.
Good luck with your new coilovers...they are better than springs, that's for sure.
proto_k7 01-07-2004, 03:25 PM There are 2 reasons why I went JIC-
1. I have the exhaust-
2. I like the set up features. Whats cool is the adjustable lower housing for height. All coilovers are adjusted at the spring. With this in mind I am not losing spring travel, IE Cusco's did not have adjustable dampening and I feel thats important. I want full control of my suspension and JIC just happens to have it all.
Cusco's were my first choice-
Money is no object, peice of mind is.

2.5 front and rear, not much but if I wanted to slam-it I would have got airbags-
izzles 01-07-2004, 03:36 PM Congrats I hear they ride good from a friend of mine......Nice price as well....
TheRedBox 01-07-2004, 04:27 PM camber
That's what im talking about. Congrats!
proto_k7 01-07-2004, 05:22 PM Thanks guyz-
I am really excited Ill post pics before and after the install...
By then I will be doing a custom paint scheme through the inside of the car, I am ripping apart the dashboard this weekend to start prepping. I will be using some House of Kolor paints and an airbrush to complete the task. The exterior will be underconstruction as I am starting to develop some graphics -
I am still looking for clear windows if anybody can help I will be willing to work something out, exchange of services maybe-
peace-
projxB 01-08-2004, 12:50 AM anybody know where i could score some cuscos? anybody?

Wrong. Cusco's have all the same features the JICs have, but will go lower. And yes, the shocks are adjustable with 3.5K springs which are not much stiffer than my Teins. My Cusco coilovers, along with a front sway and strut bar, should be arriving this weekend. I post a review after they're installed.
JIC makes high quality suspensions and exhausts. We've been selling them for a year now and have had zero problems. The reason I went with Cusco is the gold color and ride height....I'm going to see how long I can drive the car with a 4" drop.
My Teins will be for sale after I get these installed. They are great, but I just had to go lower.
If you want the hookup on Cusco, call Bozz Performance in Fremont. Sorry, I don't have their number handy and their website is down right now.
dinkjs 01-09-2004, 02:48 AM hahahaha Bozz Performance website has been down for a good yr now....they suck
quadoptix 01-09-2004, 02:57 AM i can get my hands on all cusco parts...if you need em, pm me with what you need and ill contact my people for prices. I was gonna get cusco everything for the box, but i have a better project at hand, so the scions stayin my daily ride and primarily stock...
UrbanDrum 01-09-2004, 02:57 AM I called Ground Control In October and they told me that they already had prototypes being tested on a few peoples rides...I haven't called them again but I would think they're pretty close to being released by now. When they do, I'm sure they'll be much cheaper than the ones out right now and the quality of their products has always been good, so....Just wait a bit...It should be worth the wait
quadoptix 01-09-2004, 03:22 AM thats cool with what GC is doing, but remember its not a real coilover system, just sleeve setup. Cusco and the other bling companies suspension setups are complex =)

what do you think about the Cusco Vacanza Coilover Set im thinking of getting this but havent had any cusco part in the past so just wondering your thoughts on it
proto_k7 01-09-2004, 04:27 AM I stand corrected thank you NCP 31-
Even so I dont think I can handle being dumped @ 4 inches on a daily driver. The ride has to be harsh, especially with the way the streets are kept in my city.
I am curious to see pics of your ride after the install, keep us posted-
Peace.......
UrbanDrum 01-09-2004, 04:41 AM but remember its not a real coilover system, just sleeve setup.
Are you sure? He mentioned the word coilover...I know they make sleeves too.

Yea, Ground Controls are just a sleeve...you have to use your own shocks, unlike a true Coilover system.

as far as i know the vacanza series coilover is good. There are different variations of the coilover, so it depends on what you want. If you want some details and pricing, pm me =) I can get my hands on this stuff for a pretty good price
NCP31 01-14-2004, 08:47 PM Proto K7,
Just shoot me (or Alex at Bozz). I just got my Vacanza Zero Wagon coilovers and the shocks are NOT adjustable. Alex thought they were, but aparently his Japanese translating needs more work. You were right, I was wrong.
The E-Wagon coilovers have cockpit adjustable shocks like the Tein EDC, but they don't have an set for the bB. The Z-Wagon set that I got has adjustable springs and adjustable strut bodies in the front, with 3.5K springs. Just a bit stiffer than the Tein Wagons I have now, but not as stiff as the 5K springs on the JICs.
I'll post a review in the next couple of weeks after I receive the front sway bar. I want to install everything at once. I'll also post pics of the install and each of the individual parts.
HotBox 01-14-2004, 09:16 PM im not all that good on suspension but for a comfortable ride would you want stiff springs or what?
proto_k7 01-18-2004, 11:15 PM Hey good lookin out NCP, no problem. I searched around quite a bit before I made a decision, I knew they did not have the dampeners..........
Cusco's are still very nice and they made it very hard for me to decide........
Peace-
UrbanDrum 01-19-2004, 01:36 AM Ground Control coilover "kit"
0-2.8" all around!
Yes, they are not full coilovers but who really needs that for a car like ours? If you know Ground Control, you must know they have a good reputation for making high quality parts. I know the $1400 sets are good but if you don't need all those bells and whistles(most of us) these are without a doubt the best at just over $400. After intensive testing the finished result is ready and is being manufactured as we *speak*. I have a pair of the first sets that have been released and now only need one, so send me a PM if your interested in buying a kit or simply want to check out the quality. I'm in Orange County, CA...

Ha ha very funny. If your gauging interest in a coilover setup. The best way would be to post pictures of what you're trying to sell. Nobody is going to buy anything blind Duh
UrbanDrum 01-21-2004, 08:14 PM  Yes...Pictures are nice. I know. I just didn't want to get everyone excited since I only have one set. I was hoping for a PM from anyone interested but I guess their's nothing wrong with allowing everone to see them. I'll post pictures late tonight...
