There are others that have done it.

The only thing I regret about getting them is wiring in the reverse. I hate wiring.

What was involved in wiring in the reverse?
Did you splice off the existing bumper light?
Where/how is the wiring routed?
I need to know how tough or involved the wiring is before making a purchasing decision.

I have not installed yet but will on Friday and I will post my install. The other guy motorcade said it was not bad. I looked and it seems all the wiring is there just have to change a few in the plug.

^ probably because he doesnt want to see Rumion taillights popping up everywhere on xBs. some people like to have rare stuff on their cars but when the word gets out, its not rare anymore.

Too bad I got the LED ones 2 months ago or I'd get there Rumion ones.. as far as the wiring goes,, All it would take is some time.. only 3 wires going to the 1157 bulbs... 2 going to a 1156 or equilivant.. You already know what the wires are from your existing wiring.. just a matter of splicing into your existing back up lite & running an extra 2 wires over to the passanger side.. It's not hard.. just do one bulb at a time & test every connection... just takes time.. one at a time. I'd be glad to help anyone do it if you're close to St Louis..., but I am liking my LED tails too much to sell them used & re=purchase Rumion NON led tails.. good luck to all those who do, i think they look great as well!!!...jh

if you look closely at those rumion pictures, you'll notice that the rear bumper is slightly different. & when they (rumion) have a 'Chrome rear bumper protector', you'll notice that it fits their bumper nicely, BUT it's not the same as the xB's bumper.. look where the rear quarterpanel meets up with the bumper.. That's the difference.. That's where the gap will be....... that's why they have the gap.. They (lights) were designed for the Rumion rear end, which is slightly diferent from the xB's rear.. yes Cionide.. I feel your pain about motorcades description on the wiring.. Noticed that i said, "it will take some time'.. 'one light at a time'.. just takes time... If I had the $300 lights, I would take the time to go thru the wiring... good luck to all.. I may sell mine anyways when an aftermarket company like Anzo or someone comes out with a 'LED' Rumion tail for the Japaneese modders market.. jh

That's the thing though, if you were to get the Rumion tails, wouldn't be that much cooler to get the rear bumper, too? Then no worries about the gap AND no big gaping hole in the bumper to cover and body work!

I know someone's going to say to go with the front end conversion, too. But that's a grip of money...

I just ordered my LED tails!!!

As soon as I get them they'll probably be shipped off and tinted!

So i get my lights on Friday and I am pumped on getting them installed so I open the box and one of them is broken. I call Carson and they file a claim with UPS and they just picked it up so now I have to wait a week or so for a new one. Talking about pain. I have 1 light that is hanging out in my office wanting it mate so they site see from the back of my car.

is there another set of tail lights, besides the rumion lights, were i can move the reverse light up into the tail light?

i want shave the bumper and get rid of the reverse light
