I just spoke to one of the reps at my local scion dealer and he said that as soon as you change the intake on the tc, the warranty, unless you go with a AEM (the maker of TRD CAI) can be voided.

I then asked what if I just go in for a oil change. He then stated to change out the cai for your stock one before hand so everything is cool.

Is it really this strict??

I just spoke to the service manager of the another dealer. I can't believe this...

He stated this:

"If you install another intake beside the the TRD model (AEM) it will void the warranty"

...grrr

I guess it all depends on what place you go to and what mood the guy is in :P

I have the INJEN intake and here's how i think it is....If they can relate your problem to the intake (running to lean or something like that) then they can void your warranty.

No, it's not. But that's why they are service techs and not lawyers. Please read this --> http://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=55338
