Default OUCH!

So on my way to school this morning i went to my girlfriend's house to pick her up and ride together to school. WELL....... she jumps in the car and I start backing out and all of a sudden I hear an excruciating sound. I look over to see that my girlfriend didn't shut her door right when she got in the car and i pretty much clotheslined the light pole next to her driveway.

I got out to look and there is no body or paint damage (thank God). But the door opens a lot farther and shuts hard. I'm pretty sure i just bent the hinges and need new ones to replace them.

I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get some xb hinges and/or think anything else might be wrong with my box.

thanks

sounds like the job for a body shop really...

i'd be worried more than just about the hinges... so i'd probably take a closer look to see the extent of the damage first.

louds like the door frame where the hinges mount to the door is probably bent, as well as the hinges, and the unibody where the hinges mount to the body itself is bent

ouch a simmilar thing happend to me. I drove into an automatic car wash and forgot about my CB antenna so i got out after the thing passed and went to remove it well i did not realize there was a pole hanging down so yeah the carwash tried to take my door with it... never got it fixed... but i then totaled the car due to hydroplaneing. Good luck.

haha dang, i hope i don't run into that bad of trouble!

but i had one of my buddy's check it out today and the hinges are fine, but the door stop was yanked so hard it bent the whole area around it and ultimately bent it so bad the door is rubbing on my fender and when it closes there is a bigger gap between the front door and back door.

my buddy said he could probably fix it, but if worse comes to worse i might have to get a whole new door... please no!

so any suggestions on that anyone??

you might not, what you could do is go find a mom and pop type body shop and let them look at it, you might be able to get it fixed for around 200 plus parts
