Default Free oil changes

EDiT: I found it on page 3 of the Scheduled Maintenance Guide. Showed it to the dealer Clearly says 36 months / 36,000 miles. Wellesley Toyota still refuses to do the oil change.

Can someone verify the time frame for the 3 free Scion oil changes for an 05 xB?

I remember reading 36 months / 36K miles.

Brought to the dealer today he said 30 months / 36K miles. Mine is 31 months old, only 20K miles.

I can not seem to find anything written about the 3 free changes. If it is 36 months, where can I find this written down?

Thanks

I purchased my XB in Minnesota, they honored everything there. Now in NorCal....they look at me cross-eyed.

Did you buy it new or used? If used, the previous owner could have used up the changes by getting them done earlier than recommended? If new... call Scion/Toyota and complain. My dealer threw in 2 more in addition to the 3 from Scion. I wish they were transferable vouchers or something because I do my own.

I purchased mine new. I would complain, but since the oil change is sooooo easy (great filter location Scion!) I'll just suck it up and do my own.

On the last or close to last page of the maintenance booklet there are 3 boxes that a service tech is supposed to fillout everytime they do an oil change, if thoese (or at least one) is not filled in you should be able to take that to them and get it done. If they get jerky about it than go to the dealership manager and start talking right there in the showroom where his customers will hear it-might make things work out.

IF not-call Toyota/Scion customer service
