Mine came off the lot for a little over $22000 (lots of extras) since then I have dropped about $3000 into the stereo system.

Bone stock and in school, maybe on my next car. Other than rims and some sounds, I wouldn't spend too much on this car as far as the speed aspect goes because it's just not that kind of ride.

Hang on... are we talking about the add-ons from the dealer as well? 'Cause my tC was a little over 21K when I picked it up (ground fx, security, pedals, shift knob, sub, ...). But haven't spent a whole lot more since then. At this point I'm really more interested in performance add-ons, not ICE.

Just out of curiosity, were the purchases you guys made planned from the begininng? Like, "Well, my car is going to be around 20K, so then I have about 3 or 4 grand to drop on extra stuff". $100 for factory floormats, yes, I bought them 3 days after I got my car since I got paranoid I'd mess up the carpet before I found some good aftermarket ones.

As for what I have planned (and I'm a spur of the moment kinda guy, so this planning stuff is probably on the tip of the iceberg to come).. hundreds more, if not thousands. But the reason I'm doing it? I'm having fun and it's worth it. :)

Yeah I went name brand instead of knockoffs like alot of people do. The bodykit price includes paint and other misc things to make it work. But I installed it myself so that saved me over $1000 on the total cost.

After this week it will be about $8,800. :eyes: HOLLY CRAP! I could buy a small country with that. This includes install and tune of turbo and springs which are the only things I had installed by pros.

Not everything is listed in my profile and this doesn't count stuff I had but sold or got screwed up that would make the total about $10,800.00. This includes the LLC(?) grill, kenwood touchscreen, and my alarm/remote start that got F'ed up by the installers (that with install was about $700).

me and my gf have spent about 760 i think, i installed my subwoofers and amp from my previous car, and then we got the windows tinted to 35%.

we are going to lower it next, the springs i want are about 200 dollars and then i am gonna get an air intake, so that will bring it up to about 1150 or somthing. then i am gonna paint some interior pieces myself so maybe 50 or so for the paint and sandpaper.

that is about all that is going to be done right now i think.

WOW, it doesn't look like all that stuff cost 18K unless you paid for a lot of stuff to be installed. Either way one of the nicer silver tC I've seen. Nice clean look to it. Also one of the nicer leather jobs I've seen, it goes really good with everything. :clap:

Seriously, the money goes like water. I'm still :doh: that I have spent so much. On the positive side my insurance is low, the ride is hot, and replacement parts are not as expensive. Also its priceless when someone in a G35, BMW, RX8, 350Z, etc look over and their jaw just drops. :rofl:

i went over teh 11k mark today. bought a car adapter for the ps2 (i cant get rid of the crazy electrical noise from the crappy inverter brick im currently using), some tidbits from oznium, and a new front lip. still have to get the lip painted so that'll be another 50 bucks.

Wow.. you buy a 17k tC, then spend 17k on it... when you could be driving a Lexus IS350.

I understand spending a grand on a tC, maybe even 2 grand... but once you start paying more than you could buy obviously nicer, more powerful cars, then it stops making sense, at least to me. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

EDIT: Of course this doesn't apply to sponsored show cars. I mean people who pay out of their own pockets.

Seriously i could have bought any of the above and been like everybody else. Instead i choose to pay lower insurance, have a show car, and have lots of fun and fans! Also what other car could you own that has the makers throwing money at you for free stuff, admission to shows, food, etc. I mean when was the last time lexus, BMW, or Infiniti sent a group of people to Miami for free? It not about the free stuff but its nice when they do more for you than a monthly bill.

it may be the wife's ride, but WE have spent about 6k so far. Without itemizing the "smaller" items ( ie lighting ), she has added the sc, wheels/tires, audio, etc.. a new head unit is in the works; as is a possible leather seating setup. And if i get my way, some sc mods for my time behind the wheel.... it all depends on the "toy" fund; which can vary some as this isn't the only 'toy' in the household.
And hopefully in the next year or 2, some paint work.
Heck, may as well enjoy what you work hard for...
