i was wondering if installing a strut bar is worth it? does anyone who has one felt a difference in the ride of their car? also, if it is worth it, which one is the best one to get?..... alot of questions, i know, sorry

 

i have a front strut tower brace. didn't feel a difference, but hey, some additional structural rigidity doesn't hurt anything, and it looks nice too.

 

firmer grip in turning (espicially sharp turns)... up in the canyons you can totally feel it.

a mod you'll feel on a daily basis would be sways

 

for the tc, not a noticeable difference. Our vehicle is rigid as it is, I think that due to its design for being dropped, they also took time with making it rigid. On a civic yes, you can tell the difference because it isnt a very solid car.

 

noticed a difference in turning. Also looks nice under the hood.

 

i agree with drax. I'm sure it does make the car more rigid, but nothing you can really feel. Maybe if you got both front and rear installed at the same time. I'm sure a lot of it is psychological though.

 

sways>tie bars

i promise you will notice an immediate difference with sways...

 

yeah i noticed tighter steering, felt good, but now im use to it

rear strut brace, heck yes! gets rid of roof popping.. front maybe, depends on the brand that u get and torque dampers if u got 1.

theres also the Hotchkis Sport Sway bars which comes with both a front and rear sway

imo strut bars are useless, i had the DC Sports and DME fronts, and Greddy and DME rear, and i didnt notice a difference in any of them. if you want performance get sways.

 

good if you want to finish up the suspension part of the car.

 

i got the megan front strut and c-pillar bars and i didnt really notice anything, a little here and there but def looks good...about all they are worth...

 

well i just picked up a tanabe strut bar for a really good deal. thats i bought it. ive decided to concentrate on suspension work for my car so i guess a strut bar is a step forward even if you cant feel that much difference. next up, sway bars!

 

you should get sways first IMO

u can actually feel the difference

 

Whe u install it make sure to jack the car up so u take load off the suspension. Torque it down and then drop the car. Gives u best bang for ur buck this way.

 

 

i put my trd strutbar on a couple weeks ago. I thought it wasn't going to do anything, but it reduced roll when taking hard turns. I think its worth it. Might not feel it if you have other aftermarket goodies though.
