hey all, like 2 weeks ago i scraped the curb with my front right tire(5mph, tight 2-way street and other car was speeding in the middle). the tire seems ok but the rim is a bit scratched and i am not sure if anything is wrong with the car.

sometimes i feel the car going towards the right on its own, but since im a new driver i really dont know. does anyone know what potential problems i might have? how to check? cost to fix?

im away at school so my dad couldn't help me. he reccomended that i switch the front tire with the back but didn't explain why, can someone explain why he told me to do that?

thanks for the help

chances are he told u to do this since the car is

FRONT WHEEL DRIVE ... meaning its the 2 front wheels that pull the car ... . verse a REAR WHEEL drive where the back 2 wheels push the car

he said to switch rims because

if there is a chance you bent the wheel .. the balance could be off and that would cause the pulling problem you are having

take it to a tire place and have em check the wheel to make sure it is balanced properly ..

another cause of the pulling could be the alignment .. but it dosent sound like what you did would throw the alignment out of whack .. anything is possible though

you'll get a lot of pulling from un even tire pressure too. Check all your tires and make sure they are the same pressure (around 30psi).
