It seems there are an aweful lot of self haters complaining about the tC, heres how I feel about some of the more common ones.

"In the maual transmission 1st gear is too short"
Quit whining, 1st gear is not particularly short, maunal transmissions dont go 40 in 1st, they just dont.

"The doors are really long and heavy"
It's a coupe, doors are longer in coupes, plus these arent even that bad, I had a Camaro, those doors were insanely long, and you had to slam them cause they were so heavy they didnt close otherwise.

"The tC is really heavy and handles like ____ on stock suspension"
This car just is not that heavy, your standard american sports car, ie camaro, mustang, weigh so much more and they handle worse then the tC. If you know how to drive them you can do pretty much whatever you want though, and if you know how to drive, the tC can easily outperform those two handling wise.

"Girls keep saying the tC is cute"
It's a good looking car, it has attractive lines, get over it. If you want manly get a hummer or a jacked up truck, not a compact coupe. Besides, is a girl liking your car ever a bad thing?

You are comparing the tC to a Camaro or Mustang? Of course those cars are going to be heavier and have even worse handling. They are in a completely different category. The tC does handle like poop on the stock suspension. It takes aftermarket springs, shocks, and bars to make the tC handle like it should.

 

All I know is I dont have any problems with handling the tC, if I was auto-xing then I would want massive upgrades. But i'm not, I drive aggressively but I can always make the car do what I want it to, it's responsive and relatively nimble

 

for what I paid, I'm perfectly happy with the tC- I knew I was getting into big heavy doors on a car that is known as a "girls car" and often called cute....Yep....I knew damn well what I was getting into but I'm still happy with it.

 

about the girls car thing... If you catch someone calling it a girls car, ASK them how is our car girly... Im sure they wont give one logical answer to that.

 

yeah I asked someone one time and this was the answer:
"Because 90% of the time that I look into a tC its a girl driving."

 

x3 and people complain about what they bought. if they dont like they should take back or sell or something. the one thing i hate is the people that ask for opinions and then people rip them a new one rather than giving constructive criticism or being polite about their opiions. people don't have to agree with your opinions. if they don't like what you did, its probably because you thought of it first or because its unique from others.

yea but with all the trd upgrades it makes it drive like a whole new car and i love it. i just wish it came like that from the factory. woulda saved me a lot of trouble.

 

i just laugh, half the time the ones calling it a chicks car are the ones driving civics, last time i looked, every kind of women for a teenage girl, to grandma has a civic, hell, my mom drives a 07 civic, so stop hating on a car that can whoop your ___ not only in a straight line, but on a autox, and one that is priced low enough that by the time you get a sc, you can smoke si's for the same price

 

I couldn't have said it better. The tC is a great $16,800 car. The only thing I would like better is if it was rwd, but it's not and I still bought it. I also don't beleive in putting tons of money in a 16,000 dollar car. If I wanted a 25,000 or 30,000 dollar car I would have bought one.

Exactly. All the TRD suspension upgrades should come standard. That's the biggest problem with the stock tC.

exactly my point, fi you dont like it, dont buy it. I dont see the point in buying a car then compaining about it endlessly, if it sucks so bad buy a different car.
