Anyone running these tires? have an opinion?

Ive currently got the 512s, and am looking to replace em. Thought about going the 912 route. For the price, is there a better tire out there?

225/40/18 is the size im looking at.

Any opinions would be appreciated.

 

If you like the 512 then you will like the 912. It has improved in wet/dry traction. The compound is a bit stiffer for tread life and the tire is now asymmetrical for easy rotating. They have stiffen the sidewalls as well meaning that the tire got abit heavier (bummer). Another tire you may want to check out is Toyo Proxes 4. It's a tad bit stickier than the 512 and 912. But you live in Miami, I would try the Falken FK452. That tire has really good response and grips very nicely. Let me know if you have any questions bro.

 

Falken FK452... hows the tread life on those? is it in the same price range as the 912s?

 

Tread wear rating is 300, so it is less. You won't get as much life as you'd like (about 30,000 mi.). It will handle much better though.
