Default Bad Day Rant

alright well my day yesterday was horrible! first i was gettin a haircut and the lady messed up and gave me a big bald spot so i had to shave my head really short and then i was taking my wheels off to rotate em and i see that Discount Tire stripped one of my studs so that stud was out of the picture, then another stud right next to it broke off without much pressure at all.. so thanks to discount tire probably impacting my lugs too tight im now rolling on only 3 studs and have to go order 2 more!! hopefully im safe while im driving

Just keep your head shaved like I do

I would probably try to get those two lugs sooner if possible. It could cause some vibrations on the highway and isn't very safe to be missing two.

some people are dying from terminal illnesses and you're here whining about a bad haircut and 2 broken wheel studs.

Ahh to be 17, when the only thing that can make your day go bad is having to deal with a bad hair cut

Everybody asks me ..."Whats with Discount/Americas Tire?"...

There you go!!!!...Stripp'in Bolts, Sctrach'in ur Nice Wheels!!

U should talk to the Manager and have them buy u the studs and Labor Costs!

I should know..I use to work at Discount Tire...if we broke a customers stud or damaged a wheel we would replace it...

Sucks about the Haircut!...Thats why I do it myself!!!!

no, you aren't safe on 3 lugs. :D your risking a potential catastrophe and doing much more $$$ damage to your car.

why did discount tire (as in the site's sponsor, discounttiredirect.com??? i thought they were only an internet company) put your wheels on for you?

i had a body shop torque my lug nuts too tight and the splined wheel lock key broke and stripped threads on one lug. Discount tire sent me a new key free of charge (only paid for rush delivery)

if discount tire stripped one of your studs, how did u know? ie. you wouldn't have been able to see that stud until you pulled the nut off.....how u know you didn't strip it when you were loosening the nut?

and if you broke a stud (ie. it broke in front of you while u were working on it) it sounds like you're doing something wrong.

lemme guess, you have a splined tuner lug-lock key right? its like a cylinder that fits into your lug wrench and the other end fits your tuner lugs, right??

those keys are ____. Gorilla, right? They stress the lug nuts and actually forced them down or up (depending on if your tightening or loosening) instead of rotating. gotta be real careful. that does suck ***** though.

but don't worry, chicks dig shaved heads. +1

Sucks bro. If I were you i'd move one of the studs from one wheel to another. that way your not running on 3 but 4 and 4, but since your gettin them soon anyway might as well just leave it.

That actually happened to me after my car was in the shop for 5 weeks getting done for HIN....needless to say, I missed the show, & lost about $700 ($55 registration, $150 for power at the show, a huge power inverter (cost about $300) & a bunch of display stuff). We actually ended up having to jack the car up by the crash beam cuz there was no other way, we had to rip my front bumper out from underneath the car, my fender completely caved in & everything had to get repainted. My friend SAW it happen & he chased my brand new wheel & tire down the road, and luckily there was no damage to that. The shop didn't even reimburse me for anything so I wound up not paying them in full for all the work they did. Might I add, this happened at 4:30am the day after roll in (roll in at the latest for the day was 7pm)Now THAT's a bad day.

Go to Pep Boys/Autozone/Kragen & get new lugs now. As for your hair, it'll grow out in a week.
