(i.e. touch up paint or something) so what do you guys think i should use/do to fix it? i got no dig camera, otherwise i would post pics

if the scratch is rather large, touch-up might cover it up but it will still be noticeable. I scratched my bumper and left some noticeable ridges, and I tried using touch-up from the dealership. Thing is, there's no clearcoat so you can still see the scratches easily when the sun is out.

if its a fine, ot deeply cut scratch...which is what it sounds like, can you try wax..i'm sure there is something at the auto store that can help you buff it out a little.
but honestly if its that light and small i would not stress over it....its just a material item, its going to happen

now key scratches from bumper to bumper....thats a whole other ball game!

This link has been posted before but it might be of some interest. It helped me fix a couple of small ones on the front bumper.... at least it was better than just dabbing with T/U paint.

before you buy the touch up paint from the dealer or paintscratch.com, try the MEGUIARS SCRATCH X first..

it's only around 7 bucks, so I bought one today and did better than i expected.
i thought i had to buy one of the touch up paints, but Meguiars got rid of the scratches. :D

I used my California Water Blade last night because it just finished raining. I figure I would wipe the side of my car since there's water, it could clean the car and take off some of the dirt. Come out this morning to see like 7 1ft vertical scratches on my passenger side. Man, I so regret using that blade now. I figure the blade is getting old or there wasn't really enough water and must've used the blade while dry. I guess the scratches aren't too deep since I can't really feel it and it looks like it's just dirt. I feel even worse since I'm the one who caused it and it's been on my nerves all day!!!

I figure the best option now is just wait a year or couple years and wax and polish the whole car and take care of all the scratches that will come with time.

Another option for you guys to try is to take the car to the dealership. I think they have a guy going up and down the street touching up all the cars for the dealerships and ask how much it would be to fix.

ah, the joy of owning a dark color car (flint mica). Maybe I'll just go with the silver next time.

How hard is it using the Scratch X and waxing on a 10 scale, 10 being hardest? I've never done that sort of thing. Or can I just use the Scratch X itself?
